HTML Coding (in Articles and Blogs) is My Friend!

Suzanne Roy

Yes, it's true... I can honestly say that

HTML Coding

is my friend!

I've certainly come a long way in the past seven years of my virtual assistant home-based business - from not even knowing what html was, to using it almost in every day of my business. No longer do I fear and cower away from previously dreaded "< >" and "</>" html language and symbols, now I actually thrive off using them throughout my online projects.

Below are some of my most often used html codes that I thought I would share with you in the hopes that maybe you could start incorporating them into your virtual assistant home-based business, or any online marketing that you may do (such as blogging, article writing, etc.,):

  • <B>TEXT GOES HERE</B> - With this you will see BOLD
  • <I>TEXT GOES HERE</I> - With this you will see ITALICS
  • <font color="FF0000">TEXT GOES HERE</font> - With this you will see TEXT GOES HERE
  • <H1>TEXT GOES HERE</H1> - With this you will see

TEXT GOES HERE

which is used for Headers

  • <br> - This is used when you want to have a hard break in an article or blog, which is more defined than a <p>, which is paragraph code.

Adding internal links (and external back to your business website - known as backlinks) via html coding to your articles and blogs is imperative. This is a little more intense, but the copy and paste feature works splendidly well!

To add a link within your article or blog, the following coding is needed (as an example):

<a href="http://www.vawork.com/content/view/18/28/" target="_blank" style="color: #164F59;
text-decoration:underline;">Real Estate Virtual Assistant</a>

which will produce:

Real Estate Virtual Assistant

This has been given a different color and underlined to stand out in the article or blog text also.

This is just a snippet of what you can do to enhance your articles or blogs while working on your virtual assistant home-based business projects - it is extremely useful to use when creating blogs for my real estate clients and has proven to produce great results in added traffic to their websites, which in turn means more leads, and ultimately more money in their pocket, which is the whole point, right?! And more money in my real estate client's pocket means their success, which is my success!

If you haven't already, make it a resolution today to be the first day to become a lover (or at least a friend!) of html coding too.

How Can A Real Estate Virtual Assistant help me? You may be surprised!

It is practically endless as to how an experienced virtual assistant can provide almost any entrepreneur, small and/or medium sized businesses with their home-based business capabilities; website management, database maintenance, social media marketing, blogging, and research work are just a few of the popular tasks that are managed by thousands of virtual assistants worldwide.  So, all you need to do is find the right virtual assistant for you.

At first it may seem overwhelming to try and decipher which areas of your business you want to delegate to someone else - whenever a potential client calls sounding exasperated and flustered, I always suggest that they think of the top two areas that they want to stop doing themselves and start from there.  Each of my clients started with a few ongoing projects for me to do for them and then as time went by and they felt a sense of trust and accomplishment with the work being done on their behalf, more projects would be added to the list.  This is perfectly ok, and actually recommended.

As in any relationship, both personal and professional, trust must be earned and this is no different.  When you hire a virtual assistant you have to gain trust in them - but this is one area of how a virtual assistant is a much better choice than an in-house assistant.  A virtual assistant also owns her own business and your success is her success.  They know the struggles of owning their own business, just as you do and will work that much harder to make your's a flourishing one.  Of course, gaining a referral from a friend or acquaintance is also favorable, as in many business ventures you undertake.

So, when deciding how a virtual assistant can help you, jot down your top two or three administrative or online tasks that you either dislike doing or would rather not have to do and go from there.  Even if you don't think someone else can do a particular job or project for you, you will probably be pleasantly surprised to find out differently after speaking with a virtual assistant!

Boca Raton Real Estate Market Conditions ~ March 2009 ~ Central and West Boca, courtesy of Gloria Singer, Lang Realty

Below you will find the sales activity within the Central and West Boca area of Boca Raton real estate for the month of March 2009 - these are all homes located West of Military Trail.

Boca Raton Real Estate Marketing Statistics

When comparing these statistics over previous months numbers, the activity in sales within the Boca Raton real estate market has skyrocketed! In particular the condos sold during the month of March 2009 almost doubled that of those sold in February 2009! In addition, the number of days that both single family homes and condos/townhomes dropped for the third month in a row. Even with the average sales price of homes selling still depreciating, more buyers are taking advantage of what seems to be the bottom of the decline in house values. This is encouraging to see both for buyers and sellers, and Realtors alike!

Four of the seventy-four single family homes sold were within the Boca Raton country club known as the Polo Club of Boca Raton, ranging in sales prices of between $220,000 (3 bed, 3 bath home with 1,958 sq ft under air) and $1,885,000 (4 bedrooms, plus guest house, 4.5 bath home with 5,345 sq ft under air). This private member-owned premier residential community provides world class amenities and services to its home-owners and members. The hub of the Club is centered around a tremendous 145,000 square foot clubhouse consisting of a multitude of dining venues, two championship golf courses, twenty-nine tennis courts, outdoor heated pool with a children’s activity center and a phenomenal 30,000 square foot luxurious spa and fitness center. Please come back or bookmark this blog for my upcoming blog surrounding this magnificent country club community.

When people ask me what I love most about being a Real Estate Virtual Assistant, it doesn't take me but a mere second to blurt out my answer:
