Oh my,.......summer break is right around the corner and we need something for the kids to do....
.....here are some quick ideas to keep the kids busy over the summer other then sitting in front of the TV, PC and playing games at home.
For the smaller kids, you might still find that the local YMCA has room in their day camps. Where you can find a variety of activities that are tailored towards the youths' interest.
Local Churches offer summer camps as well for local families that as well foster their interest and spark their imagination. For the larger teenage kids many churches offer volunteer options during the summer.
Check out also local youth centers and community centers, Schools and universities. Many of them offer summer kid educational programs that are not part of a regular curriculum like soccer camp, fishing camp and many others.
Many of the none-for-profit organizations need help over the summer with various activities. That is a great chance for the teenage kids to get involved in the community and helps them to make valuable connections for the future. Just contact the local United Way agency for a list of agencies that are looking for help. The United Way agency also can point you into the right direction to find something to do for your smaller children for the Summer.
..............nothing better then to sneak in a little education over the summer

With so many companies downsizing and many of the larger companies having either a hiring freeze or not hiring at all, how is anyone to find a job?
We in central Indiana have many business networking events happening each month, where you can meet business owner and network for a job.
I have a RSS feed for networking events on my website and you can check out any of the local Chambers, BNI meetings and any other meeting.
When you attend on of the meetings, be prepared to shine. Have a business card ready to give out, so prospective employers can find you. On the back of the card you might bullet point in a few points what you can offer the business owner.
Don't overlook the small company owners, even so they might can not hire you, you never know who they know and introduce you too.....
Don't give out your résumé but have it handy...you are there to get an appointment, and most of the time during these events the business owners don't have anywhere to put your résumé.........
Follow up after each event with any new person you have met. ......
