Finally some relief at the pumps .... After reviewing prices in Florida I noticed we still have a way to go since other areas like Leesburg were much lower but it's a start. This morning I paid $2.89 at the 7 -Eleven on the Corner of Airport Pulling and Estey Ave. If you want to check up on prices before you head out I often check out this site. It appears that the cheapest is $2.87 off Tamiami Trail. Every little bit helps!
Naples Fall Art Festival
If you enjoy Art in all it's forms then this was the weekend to visit downtown Naples or 699 Fifth Avenue 34102. The street was closed and the artists were all here! This was the 10th year for the juried show. The prices for pieces ranged from some gorgeous handblown glass balls $13 to amazing sculptures in the thousands. I saw some fantastic prices on just about everything. I have my eye on some pearl earrings and a wall sculpture for my lanai.
Being a juried show means that the artists have to apply to participate and then are selected from many applicants. The artists also are present for the entire show so you can commission a piece or ask questions about their process.
The show does get hot and crowded so if you head out I recommend early morning as the best time! The parking is much better in the morning as well. If you can't manage the morning hours then my suggestion is to wear something really comfortable to walk in, something that's cool, apply sunscreen and bring some water.
Hungry? There are some great munchies available everything from a Maine Lobster Roll from Fanueil Hall in Boston, to Kettle Corn, Italian Sausages, and hand squeezed lemonade.

The cost to get in .... FREE! Don't wait there are still a few hours left. The show officially ends at 5 p.m.
What you missed it?
The next show is the 13th Annual Downtown Naples New Year's Weekend Art Fair to be held December 27th & 28th 10a.m. - 5 p.m. & again FREE !

This Sunday's show was absolutely perfect. Our early morning temperatures dipped into the high 60's with an amazing breeze. It was just perfect weather to head out and appreciate some art! I am so glad I went and plan on going again in December! See you there !

I just received some new sales data from my company John R. Wood Realtors and from our local board of realtors NABOR. With all the doom in gloom I thought you might appreciate a little good news... It appears the upward trend is cautiously continuing.
First and foremost for the eighth consecutive month pended sales are up in Naples. Here is the full report
Another highlight is that it appears DOM - or days on market - for single family homes have decreased.
Here are all the statistics for the Naples Area (September) .
Also important to note for Naples :
September Pendings in the $500k- $1m price range have increased. This is a noticeable increase for this price range that has not been present in the past.
Overall YTD pending sales are up a little over 18% from last year.
The trend we have seen of increased pending sales since February appears to be continuing.

Well the weather outside is not quite frightful yet.... but in some parts of the country there is that noticeable chill. There are many things I miss about the seasons but having an extended summer can be nice too. I recently decided to hit the East Coast of Florida for some fun on the Atlantic and the Intracoastal Waterway.
First stop was food ( if you know me you know I really like to eat !) . We headed off in the boat to a waterfront restaurant with docking instead of parking. Our boat is not the one park out front, someday but not today.
Caribbean Jacks is where we stopped. I enjoyed a huge crab cake sandwich while the rest of the family sampled the Mahi - Mahi BLT ( really good ) a cuban sandwich and a few salads. We were there with my husband's cousin from Germany and his parents. There was live music and a great time was had by all!
It was hard to leave but isn't it great to be in a business where you can adjust your schedule to fit in some time for R & R? I have been reading posts about why I love real estate and this is one of the reasons. I get the opportunity to meet people ( remember bring your card everywhere you go), have time for my family, and can take my business with me. ( Yes I did get a few emails on the boat).
I saw this on a boat when we were heading out... Guess I need to get back there tomorrow. It also makes me think I need to start thinking of names for my boat ( that I will have ). Remember to take care of yourself, it can be rough out there.
