ShadowGlen - A Terrific Community for First-Time Homebuyers

With limited time left on the First-Time Homebuyers $8,000 Tax Credit, I've noticed that more & more buyers are starting to take a look at their options. One such option that should be considered is the wonderful community of ShadowGlen.

ShadowGlen is an award-winning master planned community northeast of Austin in the city of Manor. The subdivision is conveniently located near major employers, like Samsung, and has easy access to other employers in Downtown Austin and North Austin. Because of this, I notice that many buyers that are looking in North Austin, Pflugerville & Round Rock also choose to look for homes in ShadowGlen.

ShadowGlen has terrific amenities for its residents. It has a challenging golf course, an Olympic-sized pool, huge water slides, playground, club house & walking/jogging trails. I've found that many of my clients that live in ShadowGlen love staying in ShadowGlen because of the many amenities and the great community feel they get by living in ShadowGlen.

This is a relatively new community (they started building in 2004) and there are still many homes left to be built. But, there are many resale homes for buyers to choose from as well. I say this is a great community for first-time homebuyers because it is still so decently priced. You will be amazed at what your money can get you in this beautiful community!

The clock is ticking & time is running out to take advantage of the $8,000 Tax Credit, so be sure to put ShadowGlen on your list of communities to check out TODAY!

Lamplight Village in North Austin

First-time homebuyers looking to take advantage of the $8,000 tax credit, but would still like to keep their monthly payment low could consider the North Austin community of Lamplight Village.

Lamplight Village is an affordable community with prices currently ranging from $125,000 - $160,000.

What makes Lamplight Village so great is its proximity to major Austin employers & shopping, such as:

  • 1.6 miles to IBM

  • 3.5 miles to the Arboretum
  • 5 miles to Dell

Plans for East Austin Revealed in Nov.

It is no doubt that the East Riverside Corridor is an important area to Austinites - many of us travel it regularly to go to the airport & it is a diverse neighborhood very close to downtown. It is also another part of East Austin that will be undergoing a 'redevelopment'.

Consultants A. Nelessen & Associates have gathered ideas for the future of the Corridor & on Nov. 18th, you will have a chance to see these plans & give your opinion of whether or not they 'got it right'.

At this meeting, they will discuss the ideas they have gathered from public input & share the designs they came up with based on that input. This is a great chance for all of us to see what the future holds for the Corridor & give opinions - help create a better Austin!

The meeting takes place Tuesday, Nov. 18th, 2008 from 6 - 8pm at Baty Elementary School, 2101 Faro Drive.
