I am so happy to be LIVING MOSQUITO FREE in Portsmouth, New Hampshire!!
When we bought our property six years ago, the city clerk said "hope you like mosquitos" and before the foundation was even poured, we understood why.
The property is wooded and wet and our fight against the blood sucking demons has been quite the losing battle.
We tried fogging and spraying. We tried Mosquito Magnets, three of them going at once. We tried a disgusting garlic spray we found online. Nothing worked.
Swarms of mosquitos surrounded our car in the driveway, waiting to attack when we exited. It was a race to beat them into the house, quickly slamming the door so as not to let any in the house.
Try explaining to two toddlers why they can't go outside and see the birdies, for fear they will get eaten alive. Spending time in our yard was not an option.
Just when I thought all hope was lost....we found our answer.
MOSQUITO SQUAD to the rescue!

No bugs . No bites . No kidding
We are now mosquito free! We are using the patio furniture and enjoying our yard the way we thought we never could, and Jack and Zack are safe to play in the yard! The results have been amazing! No more mosquitos!
If you have a mosquito problem, I recommend you visit the Mosquito Squad website for more information and for service locations. They certainly made a difference for us!
How important are MLS photos? Based on so many of the photos currently listed, one would think they aren't very important at all. Well, you can't believe everything you see. I certainly don't believe what I see when I look through New Hampshire's current listings.
Something to consider:
The majority of buyers (over 80%) look online AT PICTURES first, before calling an agent.
The majority of buyers (90 percent) can't visualize a room any other way than how it's presented.
One of my favorite Home Staging Consults, from a few years ago, was and still is a great example of the power of MLS photos.
Prior to staging, this house was on the market over nine months, with very little showings and no offers.
After staging, and updating the MLS pictures, the house had two offers in three weeks.
The "Before" photos on the left are actual MLS photos used prior to staging...

This was a pretty basic Home Staging, using mostly what the homeowner had (bedding was the only thing brought in)...but it made a huge difference in the perceived value of the house. Not only was it more visually appealing in person, the new MLS photos were more appealing...and they got the attention of potential buyers!
