As some of you know from my post "I Was On the Radio Last Night", I was on the radio a couple weeks ago and I was sooooo nervous. But I ended up having a blast.
The radio station called me yesterday and aked me to be on again this Saturday night! Yippee! I don't think I will be as nervous this time but prayers would still be appreciated!

Is It Okay to Have a Favorite Child?? Home Staging Minneapolis, MN
I think we all do, don't we? We just must not admit it out loud. We may think it.....or maybe speak it in private as a deep dark secret to someone we trust but is it okay?
I know I have a favorite child. But then I will have a different one tomorrow. It changes.
Is it based on what they do that day? If they were perfect? Or even more lovable in their imperfection??
Well I had a favorite child experience recently.
Here she is...yes, a she. Born decades ago but then totally stripped down in her imperfections and made new. Look at her bones, her jewelry.....oh that beautiful Back Splash tiled jewelry.
I know the clothing made all the difference. From beautiful but plain in her gray dress:
To absolutely stunning in her bright colorful clothes!!
So this is what a proud parent does....SHOWS pictures of her children!!
And it wasn't just me thinking she was special, she sold in two weeks. TWO! See....told you she was a favorite.
I have had a couple favorites since then and will have another favorite tomorrow but I think that is okay. Don't You??

I Taught My First Community Ed Class! Home Staging Minneapolis, MN
I DID IT! I DID IT!
After years of turning down teaching and speaking opportunities I finally said yes. Last fall I was asked to teach three Community Ed classes in different suburbs of Minneapolis and I said yes.
I have been working on the agenda and Power Point "before and after" pictures for weeks but not really thinking about the words.
Then, two weeks ago I was asked to be on the Radio for an hour long Home Show Program with only a 2 day notice. My post "I Was On the Radio Last Night" tells of that experience.
I just 'winged it' for the radio show and decided I would do the same for the Community Ed class. It was great!
Of course I still had the power point because pictures are worth a thousand words, but I had nothing on a list to say. I know the subject inside and out and I just wanted to be me. What you see is what you get!
It was a small class so it was perfect. Everyone asked questions specific to their homes they are trying to sell, we had interactive exercises, and I brought candy. LOL
What fun. Didn't think I would say that but really truly it was a blast. My next two are in May and I have a couple ideas to make it even better but I am really looking forward to them. Who would have thought that??

Yesterday I posted about an email I had received regarding a Home Staging Consultation where the subject line was : "Your Expertise Helped Us Get an Offer In Five Days After Listing!" Well, I got up this morning and found this in my email:
"Hello Shar,
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for helping us with staging our townhome a couple months back. After 6 weeks of de-cluttering, moving, cleaning, shopping, and rearranging, we put our home up for sale last Saturday. Our Open House was on Sunday, we had 8 showings by Thursday and 2 offers on Thursday night. We accepted an offer that ended up being above our asking price!
Your advice was so valuable to us. I just wanted to let you know that we couldn't have done it without your help! We close at the beginning of April, and we will definitely be calling for help with our new home :)"
Okay....I mentioned I don't normally hear how Home Staging Consultations end up as so much time may elapse between when I meet with a homeowner and when they may list and I don't hear back. But here I got two emails in a few days! And did you see that part that said..."above our asking price".
