Each year I promise myself I am going to get more technology educated to try and keep up with the growing online market. I go online and try to attend webinars to further my knowledge and it seems it is a full time job just learning the ropes so to speak.
I started my new Brokerage the end of last year which is time consuming in itself. Today I have decided to try and find someone that can actually teach me what I may need to know rather that combing the interenet. It seems that it could save me time which will in itself save me money.
Today is the first day of my new challenge and my next step is to make some calls and find my new Tutor.
I was sitting here this beautiful Sunday morning while listening to my husband snore in the next room thinking how it seems the weather here instantly cooled down from our summers heat. It seems that every year I am anxious for the cooler weather but then by about April of every year I look forward to the heat.
Although, I do not think anyone gets used to the higher temperatures that we get here in Lake Havasu it is no different than areas where it snows. In areas where the temperatures drop considerably you definitely do not just stand out in the cold or snow. Well, here if you hang out in the summer you have many options including boating and swimming.
One thing is for sure, you can't beat our winters! We used to be "Snowbirds" when we first discovered Lake Havasu and would run around almost all winter in shorts and a T-Shirt. Now that we live here and have acclimated to the climate on a year round basis the "Snowbirds" stand out even to us. When it gets below 70 degrees we are in long pants and long sleeve shirts.
One thing is for sure about living here we have an abundance of sunshine and the good news is "You don't have to shovel sunshine".
Have a wonderful Sunday and every day...
Right now foreclosures are getting most of the attention. Multiple offers are way of life and a fight to win and get that accepted offer for your clients is truly seperating the strong from the weak. We have to work harder and know your job and a little strategy never hurt in order to get an accepted offer on a bank owned property. The listing price on some of these bank owned homes are so low that when you go to show a house at times you are literally waiting in line to show the home. Of course this is creating multiple offers and in some cases the properties are being sold at over asking price.
In the midst of all this the new construction market has suffered which is what has kept the economy here in Lake Havasu going for many years. Lots are getting to be a bargain again and it is a good time to pick up vacant land at great prices.
At our Monacello community on the island here in Lake Havasu, we are getting ready to break ground on a amazing luxury home which will have one of the most fabulous views of the lake in town. You just can't get much closer to the lake than in this community. We are all excited to get started on this home and will keep you posted on the progress. Luxury Living at its Best!
It is really quite exciting as sales have been brisk in Real Estate here in Lake Havasu the past few months. Just a week ago a new listing came up on our local MLS and I was looking over the listing at 6:45am in the morning and decided to drive over and take a look. At 7:15 there was literally a line(3 Realtors with clients) waiting to view this home. I was slightly surprised and excited at the same time. Lately, there have been multiple offers on properties again. All of this is helping to stabalize the market and we have even noticed prices inching up a little. It is a great time to buy!
Here we are at the end of 2008 with so much disturbing news. As we move in to 2009 and everyone trying to keep their heads above water you are seeing some incredible deals. Lake Havasu is going to take awhile to dig itself out of the foreclosure crises. Sales has been plenty with the foreclosures leaving it difficult to sell a home that is not bank owned. If you want a good deal don't forget about all the other well priced homes that are in great shape!
