Recognitions: In my first year of Real Estate at my company, I was given the "Rookie of the year" award for achieving total sales of over 1 million dollars. In my second year of business, I sold 4.6 Million dollars worth of Real Estate and became a member of the "International Diamond Society". Only about 5% of all agents worldwide achieve this status. After a few years working at Coldwell Banker, I joined McColly Real Estate. During my first year at McColly, I was in the top 50 agents for sales production, out of over 600+ Realtors in the company. Randy Van Noort's Experience and Certifications: Indiana Real Estate Broker License
Randall Van Noort has an extensive background in banking and finance. Randy's career began in banking, where he was a bank manager in charge of 2 branch locations for American National Bank, in Lansing, Il., while attending Indiana University. Randy worked in banking for 10+ years, before moving to the Tampa Bay, Florida area with his wife Sherri.

Randy attained his Series 7 license in Florida, where he worked as a stockbroker for Stuart James Investment Bankers in Clearwater, Florida in the late 80's. Randy was successful in helping his clients attain their investment goals and built a strong client base through honesty, hard work and integrity.

For the past 10+ years, Randy was employed by Fiber Specialists, a fiber optics/solutions company based in Homewood, Il. Randy was/is very successful at large account management and served as sales manager and was responsible for the Midwest territory, including Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. His experience working with large companies, such as Sumitomo (Japan) and Hewlett Packard has given him the knowledge and challenges of working in a corporate environment, as well as the rewards of success and satisfied clients.

In 2006, Randy decided to join his wife Sherri, who was already in the Real Estate business, a passion of Randy's for many years. Randy and Sherri wanted to open a Real Estate company that offered a menu of services to Northwest Indiana consumers. HomeAdvantage Real Estate offers just that.

Because of Randy's investment knowledge and expertise, Randy's current client base has grown steadily, from repeat business and client referrals.


Specialization
Our office represents clients in the purchases and sales of single-family residences and income property within the cities of Valparaiso, Chesterton, Crown Point, Portage, Beverly Shores, Ogden Dunes, Schererville, Munster, and Chicago. We keep current of all transactions in these areas, and are also very knowledgeable with the local schools.

Personal
Sherri is a Valparaiso transplant, having been raised in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. Randy is a native of Lansing, Illinois. Our interests include travel, books, music and learning about other cultures. We have done volunteer work with several local organizations and contribute to community charitable events. Having lived here in Northwest Indiana for 15 years, We've made a point of learning everything that we can, about our community. In March of 2006, I needed to sell my home to move to Los Angeles. It was important to get as much for my home as possible, because Los
Angeles, prices are much higher.

My 1st mistake was to pay $6,100.00 to BuyOwner.com for a year of internet pictures and "customer qualifying"for a year.

After 4 months and no referrals, I decided to list with a major firm. In 6 months with Century 21, I got one open house and 3 agent/client visits(showings). I was told by 5 agents in a special open house that my price was right. Yet during the 6 months I was convinced by the agent to continually reduce the price, as that was the problem. When the 6 mo. contract ended with no buyer, I looked for some way to regain some of the money in the marketing and reducing process.

I found Home Advantage, founded by 2 agents with many years of experience, and offering the unique idea of Full Service, starting at 2% and a maximum of 4 1/2% if sold by an agent from another company. Home Advantage advertised my home at 2 prices: Buyer Direct(Buyer buys direct from Home Advantage and seller pays 2% TOTAL commission), and the Bring Your Agent price(when buyer is represented by their own agent), which is 2 1/2 percent higher.

This would leave me able to recoup some of the money given away in price reductions. My agent Judi Rodimel, who has many years of experience on her own, came with the agency owners to decide on major and minor changes that were in my option to help the sale and decide on the proper areas and methods of advertising; some of which are unique to their agency.

In 2 weeks, before any changes to the home could be made, I had a Full Price qualified buyer.
