Happy Holidays From Shows Great Home Staging and Web Solutions!

'Twas a few weeks before Christmas, when all through the open house
Not a buyer was stirring, not even a mouse;
The for sale sign had been hung in the front yard with care,
In hopes that a buyer soon would be there;
The owners were headed to their new destination,
With hopes that an offer would come to fruition.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to my window to see what was the matter.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But the Realtor and Stager and all of their staging gear,
With a little old driver, so lively and strong,
I knew in a moment this would not take long.
From the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now put it away! Put it away! Put it away all!
A wink of the eye and a twist of the head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
They spoke not a word, but went straight to their work,
After rearranging and decluttering, they turned with a jerk
Their work here was done,
And soon the buyers they would come!
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard them exclaim as they drove out of sight.
"Happy Selling to all, and to all a good-night."

During this holiday season Shows Great Home Staging and Web Solutions wants to take this opportunity to Pay It Forward in our community by launching our first Holiday Food and Blanket Drive. Donations to the local food banks are down, yet need is at an all time high.



For each Staging Consultation or Vacant Home Staging Package we provide in December, Shows Great Home Staging will donate $25 to the S.W. Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank. For each virtual tour or eFlyer ordered, we will donate $10. Each of our eFlyers will have a link so you can also donate. Donations will go directly to the S.W. Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank where they help to feed more than 100,000 people every month in S.W. Virginia.

We will also be collecting new, twin size blankets for the Roanoke City Rescue Mission. Just drop off your blankets at any Long & Foster office in Roanoke, Botetourt, the New River Valley, or Lynchburg and make sure to attach your business card or name and contact info to each blanket. For each blanket donated, you will be entered into a drawing for a 5 Day / 4 Night Carnival Cruise for 2. Drawing to be held on December 20th so make sure to drop off your blankets before December 19th. Donate 5 blankets and you will be entered 5 times! Our goal it to raise 300 blankets for the Roanoke City Rescue Mission.

This past year something really strange has been happening around my home. Chairs and artwork have mysteriously disappeared. My coffee table has been traveling more than those traveling pants in that popular teen movie.

As Thanksgiving approached and the plans were being made by all of my family to come home for Thanksgiving dinner...I realized that it was time to stage the stager's home.
