Redesigned Spaces was hired for a consultation and home staging of a two bedroom condo. During the consultation process, the sellers were given a "to do" list. The list included repainting a teenagers room from lavender to a neutral warm color. In order to visually expand the space, we suggested removing as much furniture as possible as well as all posters and books from the room. We also suggested storing all out-of-season clothing off premises.
When we came back for the home staging, the sellers had followed most of our suggestions. However, they only had room to store the bookcase in their storage facility. This meant the additional furniture had to stay. So, we reconfigured the floor plan to maximize space and add balance to the room.
Since this particular condo complex attracts professionals and retirees, it was beneficial to show the teen room as an office/guest room to help potential buyers connect with the space.
