My buyers are not returning my calls.

I have been working with these first time home buyers for a while. They appear motivated and serious. We have seen around 50+ homes together and wrote on three banked owned properties and none were ratified until recently. I was very excited for them when the bank agreed to our very aggressive offer and they were so pleased when they heard the news so what happened!

I have been calling them for the past two days because I have to get the bank addendums signed by them but they are answering my calls.

ARE WE HEADING IN TO THE PERFECT STORM? A REAL ESTATE STORM..........

10-20-08

Real Estate Storms are created when a center of the housing market develops, with a system of bad loans surrounding it. This combination of opposing forces can create turmoil and result in the formation of housing storm , such as short sales, and foreclosures.

The phrase perfect storm originates from the 1997 book which refers to the simultaneous occurrence of weather events such as Ice storms, Blizzards, Ice storm, hurricane, tornado, hailstorm which, taken individually, would be far less powerful than the storm resulting of their chance combination. Such occurrences are rare by their very nature, so that even a slight change in any one event contributing to the perfect storm would lessen its overall impact.

Are we heading into The perfect storm?

A perfect storm where the fuel prices continues to dip lower, a decrease in foreclosures, the rise in consumer confidence and spending, the stability in real estate prices, low mortgage rates, and feds cut interest rates. This might be the perfect real estate storm. People can relax and believe in the great things this country has to offer including home ownership.

Elections are under way in two weeks. We don't know who will win but the important thing is that America is ready for changes. We will all be partying for the first 6 months after the elections and comes the Spring Market where it will be perfect. Are we going to have the perfect real estate storm?

Our investments are protected.

Lets sell and buy homes!

I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past. By Patrick Henry

It is very easy to get discouraged in today's world with the stock market, the elections, the economy, jobs, real estate, 401K, and the list goes on and on.

All this is preoccupying our minds and it is getting worse. There is no doubt we need a change so we just need to be positive and know we can make it and it will turn around soon.

We all need a little peace in our minds and we must realize that not everything is around money. It is hope and as long as we hope then we can get through these tough times.

Here are a few quotes from some famous people which I find inspirational.

I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.
Patrick Henry

Dost thou love life?
Then do not squander time,
for that is the stuff life is made of.
Benjamin Franklin

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

Fall colors in Loudoun

Fall colors in Loudoun------The best colors are from maples, birch and fruit trees in the Loudoun Area

It has been a gentle start to fall, with the first glimpse of turning maples arriving this month. If you drive going either 7 West or 15 North you will see the changing in colors. The color is usually good by Halloween and can be spectacular in early November.

In the mountains, the color usually peaks just prior to Halloween. The first bright yellows are arriving and the weather is great for a drive.

Owners fear of loosing their home and it could be worst...

I can not believe what is happening in this country!

I never thought it would come to this. Do you think the bailout is going to help us or hurt us? Is the bailout to save Wall Street? ......Democrats and Republicans.....Do they have a choice? Frankly, I am scared of what is happening and I am all for the bailout.

It will be hard to get a loan to buy a house, and millions of jobs could be lost. It will be a long road but something needs to happen to build confidence back to the real estate market with changing in rules in financial sector where we will have more stable lenders.

The ideal situation would be to have an increase in eligible buyers to exceed the sellers.

The magnitude of this market is difficult to predict but think about this scenario?

The banks have no choice but to go with foreclosure proceedings.

Buyers can't get loans

We can't sell houses

Banks don't want to own homes

Banks will rent the homes back to owners
