Can You Believe The Nerve Of Some People…..

Let me explain why I am in complete and utter astonishment over the event that has transpired this President’s Day weekend… I have been working with this really nice young couple helping them find their first dream home to start a family… We had seen several homes and finally we came across a home in their desired area that was/is perfect for them… We had placed an offer on the home the very first day it came out. My buyers were excited and could not wait till we had a response to our offer.. So we waited, waited, and waited some more. Just when they were ready to give up…Finally at last… 32 days after we placed our offer the bank decided to accept it. The young couple was jumping for joy with excitement… Things were coming along. They hired a licensed inspector to perform a home inspection. All was in good condition, and nothing major needed to be repaired.

Everything seemed to be perfect… That is until this President’s Day weekend. The young couple wanted to visit the home so; we headed out to the property to visit their soon to be new home... To our surprise, we pull up in the yard and found a car parked in the driveway… Which easily could be explained so; you don’t think much of it. You proceed to get off the car and approach the front door… Oddly, you notice the lock box is missing from the front door and in one of the windows you spot a bed sheet hanging as if it was meant to be a curtain… At this point we are in SHOCK!

We quickly check the house number and look towards the corner at the cross street sign… Making sure we are not going crazy and that we were indeed at the right home… Well we were… We knock on the door and a woman comes to the door claiming she lives there… How can this be if we are in contract to buy this home and the home was vacant on Wednesday when we had the inspection done… Where did she come from?

The lady did a lot of talking and talking but what she was saying made no sense. The cops came out and all to the home… As this woman had moved her and 2 small kids into the home. She was like, I have no money and no place to go. The cops were like don’t feel sorry for her or believe her cause, she even was giving us (the cops) the run around about her name and who she was. The lady had a suspended license and owes tons of parking tickets according to the police. He suspects that the lady knows what is going on.

Apparently, this woman is a scamming, taking advantage of a vacant property knowing that now once she is in the home that she can live there for free until she is evicted… I cannot believe this is happening. The nerve of some people has left me dumbfounded…
