During this down economy I find myself going above and beyond more then usual. I love to go the extra mile for people when it comes to helping them find a home. The problem I am having is the bad apples that don't seem to appreciate what I do. I am by nomeans sniveling about this. Actually I am, a little. I don't need to show rental property but I do, I don't need to drop everything, change my schedule, and show houses without an appointment, but I do. The thanks I get for this? Lately none. Not even a phone call. Well I am about to just say "I used to help people in that way". Our should I just turn the old cheek and drive on? Persistence and patience may be the magic words here, I don't know. What are your thoughts on this Active Rain?
I work for a wonderful company with great people. A while back one of those great people had a unfortunate illness that took his ability to talk. He is a good friend and a great teacher. He would give a class every Thursday mornings on ninja selling. During the time of the class I always seemed to be one step ahead of the competition. It has now been quite a few months without his voice and his teachings. I find myself struggling and racking my brain to stay one step ahead of it all. His voice is coming back!! I am anticipating Thursday mornings like a kid waiting for Santa!
Here I sit, waiting for the phone to ring. Thinking of what I have done in the past week to better myself and my buisness. I am happy to say I did quite alot. I had a nice agent open house, and on the only day off I had I loaded up my lawn mower and attacked two of my clients yards. I figure that with a litttle sweat equity the homes may sell faster. I do know they look alot better and have great curb appeal. Plus as an extra bonus, my clients were somewhat at a lose for words as they have really never heard of a Realtor cutting grass before. I truely believe this will all come back to me ten fold. I am happy to do it and I will continue to do it with a smile.
