I not only look at the whole city's statistics but I go a step further and break it down to neighborhoods. For example the MLS said the average days on market for South Jordan was 56 but for a specific neighborhood it was 79 days on the market. Days on the market is the time from the home first being listed for sale to the time the seller accepts a buyer's offer to purchase.
