What is Homepath Mortgage Financing?

With the housing market looking up, believe it or not people are still looking for foreclosures. Everyone is looking for a "Great Deal".

For those looking for great deals Homepath Mortgage Financing bears some investigation. This is a specific loan for Fannie Mae homes. One of the perks of this type of loan is it is available to both homeowners and investors. There is also at least a 3% down payment required that can be a gift; funded from your own savings; a grant or loan from a non-profit, state or local government or employer.

If a first time home buyer takes advantage of the first time home buyer tax credit of $8000 and purchases a home that qualifies for Homepath Financing they could come out ahead of the game.

Fannie Mae home

This home in Hope Mills, NC qualifies for Homepath Financing. It is just one example of what is available in and around the Fayetteville and Fort Bragg area. My partner Dee and I provide foreclosure education seminars and we run across deals like this sparingly.

Homepath Financing combined with the first time home buyer's tax credit could provide some family with a lovely home. Some repairs can also be included in the Homepath Financing. So on a final note, if you are in the market for foreclosed homes Homepath Financing could be the key to open the door to your new home.

Stuff the Bus!

Cumberland County schools are back to school again, and boy am I glad. Now my son can stop whining about the lack of activities. But that is all he has to whine about. I will buy his uniforms and supplies and all will be well.

That is not so true for everyone. There are many children who will start the school year without adequate supplies. There is something being done today to assist those children who may not be as fortunate as yours and mine. Today at the Skibo Rd Walmart, between 10am and 6pm there will be a bus in the parking lot waiting to be filled with school supplies. If you happen to be in the area, please stop by and drop off a supply or two. They are not asking for a lot. Pencils, paper, hand sanitizer, etc. Any donation would be appreciated. And don't forget it's tax free weekendbus

Happy Father's Day!

Last year I lost my father and to some it may not seem like much of a loss, since we had only found each other five years prior. I would beg to disagree.

I knows what it's like to be a single parent and thankfully I know what it means for a father to be a father.

With that being said I would like to wish a Happy Father's Day to all fathers and surrogate fathers(whatever gender). I hope that the day brings everything you hoped for. Whether that wish is to just be left alone or fawned over I hope every father figure is celebrated is some way today. Have a happy!

Suitcases for Kids

The Suitcases for Kids program was established by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and are asking all Associations to participate. The program collects suitcases and donates them to kids that are in foster care and do not have a suitcase to carry their belongings from one home to another.

Most foster children carry their belongings in black garbage bags as they move from home to home. Each child averages 7 moves while in foster care.

The Fayetteville Association of Realtors Public Relations Committee will be collecting new or "gently" used suitcases at the May 19th Luncheon. We will also be collecting toiletry items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, shaving kits, etc. These items can be placed into a Ziploc bag. Please help support this cause. These children need to know someone cares.

This is a reprint of an email sent from the Fayetteville Association of Realtors. I am reprinting this in hopes of reaching Realtors who may inadvertently delete their emails or have forgotten about the event. I realize that times are hard for a lot of us, but if it is at all possible to donate to this cause please do so. If you don't want to have lunch, feel free to drop off your items. If time is an issue I would be more than happy to pick up your donation. Feel free to call me at 910-578-2359 or email me at specialtylisa@gmail.com. Thanks for your time and consideration.
