We are routinely asked for pictures of this great place we call home. I am attaching a picture I just took out our back door at our office. Needless to say a wonderful day here. Skiing should be great, some fresh snow in the last couple days. Hope you get a chance to spend some time on the slopes. Wisp

I just had a nice email from Margie, Pokey's person. Pokey is now number 7 in the country with votes for the Garrett County Humane Society. Margie said the there was definately a boost in his votes after our blog made many of you aware of Pokey's fundraising drive. Contest does not end until March 7th, so you still have time to vote. Pokey thanks you!!

As winter starts to wind down at the Wisp, my thoughts always turn quickly to summer. As a child my favorite season of the year. Deep Creek has many personalities, but one that most people forget about is the south east end of the lake with the sailing clubs. I am attaching a picture I took last year from the shoreline looking out at one of those "to die for" sunsets. I just can't wait!!Summer - Lake

We are very proud to introduce Bob Holcomb as an integral part of our team. After 23 years of working around the world in golf course construction, the pinnacle of Bob's career came when he was hired to supervise the construction of Lodestone Golf Club atop Wisp Resort. He subsequently fell in love with Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County. "I haven't experienced any other place in the world that offers the wide variety of activities such as fishing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, waterskiing, snowmobiling and hiking."Bob's headshot

Since my initial blog, Pokey has climbed in votes to just over 1000. In a recent interview with Pokey, he expressed his gratitude with a slober. He continues to work hard to help rescue dogs (just like he was) find a good home, as he has with Margie. It's not to late to cast you votes ($1 per vote) at photocontest.humanesociety.org/. Search for "Pokey" and he is the first to appear. I've attached his photo to help. He has a face you gotta love!!!
