Smart driving safely education for Teenagers/Young Adults - California Highway Patrol

Auburn-Safe-Driving

For those of you who don't know I have a up and coming driver in the house. My oldest Zachary will be driving by January 2010 and we are all very excited. Now it should be known Zachary's grandfather my dad was Zachary's personal instructor from day one. Dick Reed (my dad) experience was with the Construction TeamstersTraining and Upgrading Fund southern California as a instructor and from there he opened the first RV Driving school that teaches individuals and their spouses/partners to drive and utilize their RV'sin the best possible way and both professions required a certian amount of patients, No braging this kid has been trained by the best.

Not all kids have this kind of one on one instruction let alone quality time with a family member with full understanding of the DMV or California HighwayPatrol wants and needs. Well Auburn has come to the rescue for our local teens. The California Highway patrol is hosting a free Start Smart Driving safely education class right here in Auburn for teenagers/young adults and their parents/guardians.

the class will be held from 7-9 pm on Oct 14th , Nov 18th , Dec 16th at EZ way Driving Schoolat 1085 Grass Valley Highway in Auburn. Now pre-registration is required call (530)885-8109

Fact:Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among American teenagers, killing between 5,000 and 6,000 teenagers every year for the past decade (through 2003, the last year for which complete NHTSA data is available) Via: Allstate insurance

Old Town Auburn Business Association to host 42 nd Annual Street Fair October 18th

Auburn-California

I love the town of Auburn; Not only because of its rustic charm and its clasic standards we still have the coolest small town stuff. We not only still have parades for everything from 4th of July to Christmas, as a town/family we still take every opportunity to gather as possible. This just happens to be one of my favorite, The Old Town Antiques and Collectible Street fair it doesn't cost a thing. Yep just another FREE thing to do in Auburn and the enjoyment is priceless.

The warm memory's that sometimes bubble up in a persons heart when walking around at a street fair is priceless. You see the first year I was amazed at the rush of memory's this little yellow lunch box brought to my heart. Now it should be known I never owned one of these lunch boxes but I always admired it from afar and when I saw it again after 15 + years later i was a kid all over again. I didn't buy it that day and my lesson learned from this year is buy when it is right in front of you because it is not the same when you look at them on e-bay later. : {

The Old Town Business Association is providing a free shuttle from the Auburn Library parking lot from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. located at 350 Nevada Street, it runs every 20 mins. Giving you the quite moment with your treasure on your way to your car.

You should also know that the Specialty shops will be open offering gifts collectibles and clothing. Most restaurants will be open as well so take a minute to see what this town can do when it cleans out its attics and puts it on the streets.

FYI..... Bring a flashlight and shop early for the best bargains.
