For those of you who don't know I have a very active film scouting business that is happily run buy a team of film students as well as photographers looking to network in the film industry. With that said I am just the rain maker bringing my network leads that are already in place from my time working in location. See a production company will call and asks for sometimes the possible as well as the impossible and I usually just give it to the team and they run with it(and I mean run), but this one has got us stumped mainly because the producers don't want snow!!!! I have this location all day with snow but during the time of their shooting in March - April and it is still very cold and unpredictable snow at that time in my county.
Now it is for their spring catalogue so we don't want those lovely models running around in shorts with snow flurry do we?
Well here I am pleading to my friends on ActiveRain : ) it doesn't have to be in Placer County so think outside the box this place has to be out there anywhere. Below is a picture of what they want it to possibly look like and they will be shooting inside and outside as well as the producers description.

Hi - below includes a general description of the type of locations we are looking for on our upcoming photo shoot that is scheduled for the week of March 8 - 14.
1) quaint residential city streets, charming townhouses, old fashioned cafes and parks in San Francisco or any other surrounding towns/cities in the Bay Area/Northern California (Sausalito, Santa Cruz...etc)
2) farm/ranch - rolling hills, well kept farm house vs rundown/rustic barns
3) Frank Lloyd Wright or American Craftsman inspired architecture (see attached for example) on expansive grounds/large estate
4) Old World Estate - references include "Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills" or "Filoli Gardens" (no red brick, prefer stone)
I know my direction is very broad however the Art Director is not exactly sure what type of location will work with these clothes and once we start looking through your locations it will hopefully be easier for us to narrow down what we are looking for. Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to looking through your location files!
Best,
Liz

Dave and Karri have just moved into their home in Meadow Vista and it is truly the home of their dreams. We looked for almost a year before finally finding it nestled in the little town of Meadow Vista.
Dave and Karri and I met on the Set of The weight of it almost exactly a year ago, I was doing locations, Dave was sound, Karri was the caterer and my husband was helping dave as a swing for sound. One of the producer Tara played cupid and wamo they started dating a few days later.
Dave and I kept touch because he and I work in the same industry often referring each other to production filming in the area.
Then I got the call Dave said he and Karri wanted to find a home together. Well after a few obstacles we finally found it! We signed almost to the day they met.
Networking works! Internet or face to face just don't give up you just have to keep in touch.
I gave them a copy of the call sheet with all our names on it as a house warming gift. Tara is listed at the bottom. She commented on Dave myspace when she heard of the new coples home.
I just got the below e-mail and wanted to help this guy out. He use to be a referee for me with PHYSC a few years ago. Tell your friends and stay safe. Happy Holidays
HI!
My name is Matt Achen and I am a senior at Colfax High. My senior project is installing free smoke detectors to people who need them in the community. If you or anyone you know would be interested, please call the Placer Hills Fire Station at 878-0405 to set up an appointment. This one day opportunity will take place on Saturday, December 13th. Again, that number is 878-0405. Thank you and have a great day.
Placer Youth Soccer is making some exciting changes to its web site and we need your help.
We are compiling a series of training videos for the upcoming year.
Below is a list of what we are looking for.
Referee training - Demonstration of rules, what the job entails, Conduct on the filled, what the job entails, how to talk to coaches.
Coaches - Demonstration of rules, Conduct on the field, what the job entails, practice tips, how to talk to referees.
Team moms - Tips for the parents, end of the year party ideas, banner tips
Fun side - This is just the videos that keep us laughing it can be a video about a pretend crazy parent or some U6 picking flowers it doesn't matter we just want everyone to remember the rules and that it is still about having fun.
We only have 9 months to get something up and going.
And remember if it can go on YouTube or the Auburn Journal than we will link it in. So go out and make a video!
