At this point and time, I believe Houston is a great market and Rosenberg is growing fast! The media covers the world/nation and real estate is a local market and if you do some research you'll find our market growing. However in my opinion our market is mostly a Balance one meaning it doesn't favor the Buyer or the Seller. But if you are looking to sell, I suggest you look at placing your home during the buying times and that is: the end of the 1st Quarter till the beginning of the 4th Quarter of the year. But you will also have to be very creative in marketing your home to sell fast.
With that said, I believe it also a great market for Buyers & Investors - Sellers including Lenders are in a hurry to unload their properties at a reduce price - because of the panic the media is given. But I feel its different in the Houston market - mainly because, we have people from the West and East Coast investing their money (not only in low cost homes) but in Luxury homes - meaning this is given us and increase value of home values overall. - WOW!
This is why I call it a Balance market, sometime in May will determine which way the market will truly go...
