In order for it to Rain Actively, you must be a Rain Maker?
Did anyone else get approached by someone from Active rain trying to get you to buy into the "Rain Maker" for approx. $40/month? I was asked persistently about giving them my credit card information and she insisted that this was an essential piece to my Real Estate practice. I was confused at the time, heard about other agents using active rain so not knowing any better, I joined.
What do you get with this price? I was told that if I bought into this "Rain Maker" that someone would get in touch with me and show me how to make use of Active rain, build my profile, so I can start using this website to its full potential. It's been 3 months now and I haven't heard from them. I've been playing around with this site, not really understanding what its supposed to do other than getting referrals and networking with other agents, but I'm still not completely sold on this site. I tried calling in to cancel my Rain maker account and the gentleman said that I should give it a few more days to try and use my rain maker account before it renews. I told him my frustration of not really understanding the benefit of the site and said that I might as well make a better effort in using it to give it a fair chance. Even though, I still don't really know how to use this site, he said that he'll send me an email about downloading some webinars or a tutorial of how to use Active rain. He said that Active rain isn't a program which will generate leads for you, you have to be active in it to make it rain, not in those words, but to that effect.
It's been 6 hours and there isn't an email from them. Well, here's my first blog...
Can ANYONE give me any insight of the benefits to upgrading to the "Rain Maker"??
Status update: It is now October the 9th (my billing period), the Tuesday buddy on the phone who was covering for Steven Graham told me to call back on the 9th to cancel. When I try calling them back to Cancel, (because I don't see the value in the extra "rain maker" account payments after giving it a few days), lucky me, they're closed on the weekends... Which means that I JUST PAID FOR ANOTHER MONTH FOR SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE!
Oh, and still no email from them explaining about how I can make use of rainmaker.
