It is great when Fall finally comes. August's heat is our trade off for mild winters. Fall's pleasant weather stretches all the way up to Christmas sometimes in our area. It is our opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Since I have an outdoors-loving kid, we often head down to the local creeks and woods. He loves to pick up sticks, throw rocks in the water and generally just wade through any mud available. This creek is in Coppell, on the north side of town. We were short on rain in June and July, but lately have made up for it and most local creeks are flowing nicely. It is so pleasant to just sit and listen to the water rushing over the rocks. I am looking forward to plenty more of this great fall weather, although it is drizzling rain today. I am sure the grass appreciates it, but it raises the humidity a little higher than I would prefer. I did a little shopping at Galleria yesterday, but it will be awhile before all those sweaters and coats look appealing. It is a great time to pick up summer sale items. Seems like there was a close-out rack around every corner.
