ECompliments for Real Estate Agents

When I was in high school on a summer camping trip with my church, I learned these lyrics from a song...

"We live in a world, that's trying to find good...and something that lasts at the end of the day.... - Walk in the Spirit, filled up with Love, let all your footsteps be directed from above...."

And so when I saw this website called ECompliments, I instantly thought - "Wow, there's a site I can support", but not only that, it has a whole section for praise of Real Estate Agents. (Yah, I know, that's too cool isn't it)

So, if you're like me and you like to speak well of others (minus pesky computers that don't work right all the time) then click on over and say something nice to people, you will be surprised at how great it will make you feel.

Also, if you want to take it one step farther, if you're on Linked In like I am, why not go through your connections and write a few nice recommendations for people. Before I wrote this post, I typed out 6 nice recommendations for people I've worked with and it only took a few minutes.

Psycho Donuts Marketing (Also Known As the Post AR Won't Post)

Disclaimer: I have lived in California pretty much my whole life, and I can testify that this state is full of fruits and nuts. I can also testify as a marriage and family therapist that I think this story is nuts, to use a clinical term (okay, I'm joking about the clinical term) Oh, and no donuts have been eaten yet as of the time I have written about this nutty story.

Alrighty...When I read the headline to this story - Would You Eat A Bipolar Donut? I was hooked, like a starving fish on a hook, off his meds, mainly because I LOVE donuts, and I have worked with clients the past seven years who suffer from bipolar disorder. (Which is no laughing matter except in the manic state). :)

And this big controversy comes down to basically whether or not a person has a sense of humor. Really - there are some boring, dull, pinheads in the world, who cannot crack a smile for anything. And then there are nice, mirthful, funny sanguine types like me and Tigger who pretty much can find humor in anything.

There are Eeyores and Oscar the Grouches, and there are Tiggers and Garfields and Sylvesters who can impact and make a persons day. The attitude of the Eeyore and Oscars of this world is that the bipolar donut is going to be depressed because if it's name. The Tiggers of the world, are like, "Hey, hand me that bipolar donut and let me have some fun with it!"

The good news in this story is that the Grouches LOST - to which I say, "Bwahahahahahaha" insert me holding my hand up with the big letter "L" over my forehead! Yeah, the Grumpies of the world LOST and the bipolar donuts - PSYCHO DONUTS - WIN, move over Krispy Kreme overly greasy donut faces! Ha...

No, seriously, how silly is this controversy really? It is completely stupid. Psycho Donuts had a GREAT idea and I think it's a fun marketing plan. And naturally someone who is a total stick in the mud has to ruin it and complain about it. To which I say, "Forgetaboutit!"

As for their little complaints about how the mentally ill will be harmed and they are being made fun of, even if there is some slight truth to that, which I don't believer there is, most mentally ill people are too mentally ill to know - so who cares, really, again WHO CARES.

Do you really care? If so, what is wrong with you? If you don't good - go have a donut, I just wish they were closer to me, because I'd love to have some of their donut fries, how tasty is that!

And sadly I removed the video because AR has been totally tempermental with this post, which is really sad. So in order to see the video, just click the link above.

Real Estate.com Lauches Twitter Bot - This is Very Cool

Last night I was talking to my friend Lennie about how cool it is to actually be able to make money twittering, and I can tell you folks, that there is money in them there hills because if you know what you are doing, and HOW to do it, you can really impact your business.

Lucky for the Real Estate world, and all of you tech junkies in this world, RealEstate.com announced today their very own Twitter bot! And some of you may be wondering, "What is a bot?" - GREAT Question... Here's the actual dictionary definition:

bot

3[bot] Show IPA
–noun
a device or piece of software that can execute commands, reply to messages, or perform routine tasks, as online searches, either automatically or with minimal human intervention (often used in combination): intelligent infobots; shopping bots that help consumers find the best prices.
Okay, now that you know what a bot is, let me tell you what this bot does.
For this specific bot, when you sign up to follow @HouseWatch, which only has 620 followers as of the time of this writing, and you send this bot a DM (direct message) with a keyword like "stats", "value", "income", etc, it will send you information from that Real Estate.com website. Pretty Cool if you ask me!
And if you are not into communicating with machines all of the time, the article also states that they do have actual real living human beings who twitter also. (I know, it's amazing isn't it!)
I hope you found this helpful. Please subscribe to this blog, and remember that if you are looking for a great way to brand your business consider Fabusend Email Letterhead, and you can follow me on Twitter at @fabusend -
