Renting a Storage Pod When Moving in the Lehigh Valley

Renting a Storage Pod when moving is a great idea and time saver. You can keep it on your property or have it hauled away and kept at a storage facility. When you are selling your home, you have to pack up your personal things anyway, so why not rent a storage pod to keep your things in while you show your house? You can load the storage pod at your leisure and have your things right at your finger tips if you need them. After you sell your home you can have the storage pod delivered right to your new home and empty it at your own pace too!

There are so many companies out there that rent storage podsand their fees are all about the same. They charge you a monthly rental fee, a delivery charge, and a pick up charge (if you keep the storage pod at your location), or a fee to move the storage pod to your new home.

Prima Facie Home Staging LLC supports PODS. We offer a 10% discount off the delivery and the first months storage. Contact Prima Facie Home Staging for your Storage Pod needs today at 484-515-3722. We also offer boxes and packing material as well at great prices. We will help pack your storage pod and Stage your home to help you get your house sold fast and for top dollar!

Open House Visits

Getting ready for Open House visits is abusy time for me. I print my own business cards and brochures which take some time to do. Today of course my printer ran out of yellow and black ink so I had to run to the store for more! Printing my own business cards and brochures saves me some money and helps me get ready for Open House visits alot quicker than having to order them and wait for them to arrive.

I like to search the Saturday and Sunday newspapers to research who is having an Open House and what time they are. I then plot my course, starting at my house and working my way back. I like to visit Realtors whom I have not met yet to introduce myself and my business to them. At an Open House visit I sometimes will give pointers to Realtors (if they ask) , like furniture position, clutter, wall color and things like that.

I enjoy going to Open Houses and meeting Homeowners and Realtors and talking to them about their properties/listings and how I can help them sell faster and for more money by Staging them. I hand out my business card and brochures and ask the Homeowners and or Realtors to contact Prima Facie Home Staging for all of their Staging needs.

I usually visit at least 8 Open Houses in one day if I plot my course properly. So hopefully I will meet some of you who are reading this today. I look forward to seeing you at your Open Houses.

Home Staging Myth Busters

Myth 1: Staging is Decorating...

FACT: Staging is NOT Decorating or Design! Decorating or Design is personalizing and Staging is De-Personalizing and preparing a house for the unknown buyer. That is why it's Key that you hire Prima Facie Home Staging because we have been trained specifically on how to prepare a house for sale.

Myth 2: Staging Costs Too Much...

Fact: Staging is an INVESTMENT in getting a house sold and the investment in Staging is always less that a price reduction. As an ASP Stager, we at Prima Facie Home Staging have been trained to work with a Sellers' budget and time frame to properly Stage a house. We like to ask our clients, "Can you Afford NOT to Stage?"Fact: The shows on HGTV and similar channels give Sellers the idea that they need to do something to their house to prepare it for sale. Sellers cannot truly be objective in a house they have been living in and need a 3rd party independent opinion to get it properly staged. ASP's at Prima Facie Home Staging have the experience and ideas to help Sellers get their houses ready and we honor our client, and work closely with Realtors to help get a house sold.

Myth 4: All I Need Are Light, Flowers & Music...

Fact: Light, flowers and music are great for Showing a house, but that is not Staging. Staging requires an objective and professional assessment of a house's strengths and challenge areas, and solutions to help Buyers fall in love with what they see. We at Prima Facie Home Staging can help you get you house STAGED and SOLD!

Tips for Selling Your Home

Below are some Tips for Selling a Home:

Often the difficult part of selling your home is the sale price. Pricing a home is emotional; many sellers want the price to reflect personal memories and values. Memories, however, don't qualify as a feature but appealing to a buyer's emotions will make a difference. Buyers only know what they see, not the way it's going to be!

The most critical time frame for selling your home is the first 30 days, because the first 2 weeks generate a flurry of activity. What kind of experience do you want to have thirty days from now? Do you want to have your house sitting on the market or do you want to have it SOLD? You want to have your home Staged by Prima Facie Home Staging LLC before you show your home and sold within the first month of putting it on the market.

Price, location and condition are three of the most important ingredients for successfully selling your home. If your home is less than ready to sell and you don't see the need to "prepare it for sale" (Staged), don't be disappointed when an offer comes in at less than you had hoped for.

More Tips for Selling Your Home:

  1. Play music everyday; you never know when a showing may occur.
  2. Involve the family; everyone needs to help to keep the house "picked up" and ready to show.
  3. Before all showings open window coverings, turn on lights, keep garage doors and toilet seats down!
  4. Allow potential buyers privacy to view your home; for for a walk, leave or work in the yard.
  5. Put jewelry, valuables and medications in a safe place to avoid theft.
  6. Hid the toilet bowel brush in a cabinet or closet.

Philadelphia Flyers Ice Hockey Team

I am an avid Philadelphia Flyers Ice Hockey Team fan along with my youngest daughter. We attend as many home games that we possibly can. This season I only managed to get to one game so far. Last season we made it to at least 5 home games. The best seats were in the second row right next to the players. My daughter actually sat right next to Nitty (just 1 piece of glass separated them)!! We kept cheering for Biron and making funny comments and Nitty was laughing at us!

My favorite Philadelphia Flyers player was Martin Biron , the goalie, but he was traded to the NY Islanders this season. I was a bit upset over this. I was also bummed about the trade of Luca Sbisa and Geoffrey Lupul too. This season I have to say, I don't have a favorite Flyers player. I do like Ryan Parent though, but he has been out with an injury for quit a while now.

The Philadelphia Flyers are in 6th place right now so we will probably make it to the playoffs. I only wish that the Flyers would really whip the Penguins this season. We beat the NJ Devils last night 3-2, what a game!

A few of the Philadelphia Flyers made it to the Olympic teams of their countries this year. Mike Richards, Chris Pronger, Kimmo Timonin, Oscar Bartulis, and possibly Jeff Carter are the Flyers that are Olympic hopefuls!

I want the Flyers to be contenders for the Stanley cup this year but I won't hold my breath........but I can always hope......GO FLYERS!!!!!!
