Selling your home in Stark County? If you have a septic system and live outside of the cities of Canton, Massillon and Alliance, then your back yard must be inspected too.
The Stark County Health Department in January began enforcing a regulation that requires a home's sewage treatment system to be inspected before the property is sold.
Exceptions to the the rule:
Doesn't affect any home in the city limits of Canton, Massillon and Alliance or any property a court ordered to be transferred such as in a bankruptcy, foreclosure or transfer upon the death of property owner.
County health officials believe the inspections will help detect troubled systems early, prevent untreated sewage from polluting the waterways and help potential buyers from getting burned.
Since January, of the 129 home sewage systems inspected:
Inspections can be conducted by the Stark County Health Department or by service providers registered with the County Health Department.
The health department charges $150.00 Most home inspections cost between $150 and $250. The inspections usually take 2 hours or more.
Replacing a septic system can cost anywhere from $7,000 to $20,000.

Jackson Township OH: April 2008 Real Estate Absorption Report
The Absorption Rate is the theoretical time it takes to clear existing inventory. The Active Listings are the number of current active listings. Listing sold per Month is the average number of unit sales per month over the last 3 months. Months of Supply is the absorption rate inventory derived by Supply/Demand. And last is the Odds of Selling within 90 days. Home sales in Jackson township for the last 90 day showed a 5 month supply of houses with a 60% odds of selling within 90 days. A balanced market is a 5-6 month suppply. The number of listings closely equal the number of buyers. Higher numbers represent too many houses, not enough buyers. A buyers market. Lower number of inventory represents a sellers market. Most homes in the Jackson area are selling very well. Especially under $159,000. $300,00-$349,000 is doing well. In the $250,000-$299,999 range only 4 sold in the past 3 months and currently 8 are listed.

Thursday, I heard that Papa John was selling pizza for 23 cents. Say what? Gas is $3.79 and I can get two pizzas for 46 cents. Let's go. I tried to call, no answer, not even a ring. OK, I'll go on line, and we'll order two for dinner. How hard can it be? That did not seem to work either. Ok ,we'll drive down there and just wait while they cook it. We can sit in the car while we wait.
I knew things were wrong when I saw the people in line. Not just one line there were two lines. Talking to the kids in front, they said you order now and come back 3 hours later to pick it up. OH MY GOODNESS! My husband said do you want pizza that bad? Well not really, but it 23 cents. We're making history. It's the hunt, the thrill, the adventure.
OK, we'll order and come back and pick it up. How hard can that be.
We stood in line 45 minutes, before we got to the counter. We went home and came back 3 hours later expecting to get in line and just pick it up. That was the line from @%&!. We waited in line for 3 hours before finally getting our pizza.
The one day special collected more than $17,500 with all proceeds going to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
The Papa John promotion was an apology to the cav's fans for a Washington DC store that mocked LeBron James as a "crybaby," during the first round of the NBA playoffs
Sorry LeBron, I don't want any more pizza for a while.
