If you are as outraged as I am regarding the monthly increases in our electric bills then take some action.
I called the Maui Electric Co. to ask who takes complaints. The lady explained the Public Utilities Commission will not let the electric company raise the rates so they came up with the "Energy Cost Adjustment" charge.
When I called the electric company to find out who I complain to regarding the outrageous fees, the lady said she did not know who took complaints from the general public. She had no name, phone number or address, nada. Thanks for the help.

You simply fill out the complaint and mail it in. I truly believe that if enough people start complaining maybe someone will step up to the plate and help the general public.
There is no reason why we are paying more for the energy cost adjustment than for the electricity that we actually use. But, if no one complains then it will be business as usual and we will continue to pay these outrageous electric bills that none of us can afford!

begins tomorrow in Honolulu. At stake is Hawaiian Electric Company's proposal to power their generators
with imported palm oil biodiesel to replace petroleum diesel. (Is that really our best choice? Do they believe that?)

I was raised on the beaches of Normandy.
It is indeed a region rich in history. Ironically, one of the first things that I was taught about America was WW2 debarquements and the memorable D_DAY. The allies libarated us and this is the reason why French continued to be my native language.
My grand-parents were the living witnesses of this incredible historical event and every senior citizen had their own story to share. At a very young age I became passionate about History and America. I finished my education with a master in history and a flight ticket to America.
I began my real estate career in the resort community of Key Biscayne Florida in 1998.In 2000 we moved to Los Angeles and for the next 6 years I was a Top Sale Agent in Beverly Hills selling to the entertainment industry.
I moved with my 7 Years old son Eliot on Maui in 2006, my main goal has been to create a healthy and safe environment for him.
At such a young age he already has a beautiful inspiring story to share. He is a child cancer survivor! Diagnosed at 22 months old with a severe brain and spinal cord cancer he made it through and
is now in perfect health and enjoying Paradise with me. He is very well integrated to the local culture and community.
We are so appreciative of being able to live here in Paradise, in the presence of the mountains, oceans and 
nature. My ancestors are native Polynesian from Tahiti, it must be the reason why it feel so good to live on Maui and I am thrilled each time I can be the gate opener and show the way to this ultimate dream to my friends and clients!
