Home Inspector or Service Warranty?

Why do buyers chose an inspector for $300 vs. a 1 year service warranty for $500 that includes a pre-inspection? I had an inspector come to the home I purchased. He had a long list as it was a home built in 1925. The Buyer's Agent then proceeded to tell us, "This house is a bargain. Don't bother to ask for this stuff to be fixed by the seller." but then 6 years later when another inspector came, the same agent was saying, "You should get this stuff fixed." We are buying a house now and for $65/service call the appliances, furnace, air conditioner, etc. will be fixed. Okay, it's a 20 year old house, not 75 years old, but isn't a service contract a better choice for newer homes?

Google Analytics - Is it the best?

If Google has it, it's the best? I know there's other stuff out there. I want to know how many print out the property details, how many see the additional information, how many see additional pictures, Street View, etc. i.e. what do they want to know?

I want to know what search criteria they use to get to the Property Details page. Is there any traffic analyzer, or whatever else you call it, that will show what keys within a page browsers click on?

Google SEO - What do they type in Search Criteria?

What is the most common combination of words consumers use to find properties? I know it's sort of like giving your opponents the key to the city but is it the city first, then "real estate" or "real estate" and then the city, or what?

My partner says he'd type, "Homes for sale in Omaha" but Google doesn't care if it's a complete sentence! I say, "Real Estate, Omaha" with a comma. But actually, before I was involved in this project, I said "Homes for sale, Omaha"

Lake Cunningham is going to have water!

Just read that Lake Cunningham will be refilled this Spring! "About 99 percent of the reservoir is done," said Randy Winter, aquatic habitat program manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

It'll be a couple years before the fishing is any good but still, that's great news! FYI: Nebraska has no natural lakes but more rivers and tributaries than any other state. Let's hope they keep the silt levels down with a bit more planning this time. Their plans to have a wetland on one end to serve as a filter of sorts sounds like a good start.

MySpace? Is it worth the time?

In a great training/introduction seminar put on by Brad Andersohn Brad AndersohnI noticed he was remiss at mentioning a thing about MySpace. I had a blog going there awhile back. I copied and pasted an e-mail from my son-in-law who was in Iraq at the time. He said where he was going to be. I received two very concerned e-mails the next day. One accusing me of aiding the enemy with his position and the other saying I wasn't patriotic. But besides that, Google captured that information immediately. If it's that good on MySpace, why not use MySpace as another portal for SEO?

I also have tried to do the interface with Twitter, following Brad's instructions, almost. Seems the screens have changed a bit and I couldn't find "My Settings" after I went to "My Home"
