If you are upset with Microsoft, read this

Is Windows a Virus No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

1.They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.

2.Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.

3.Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.

4.Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. - Sigh.. Windows does that, too.

5.Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. - Yup, Windows does that, too.

Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So Windows is not a virus.

It's a bug.

Are Short Sales of the Devil? Most Realtors probably think so.

As Short Sales become more and more prevalent and I am very interested in hearing about your experiences with them. How long did it take you to get the deal done? What were some of the hang ups? Did you have a cooperative seller? Who were the easier Lenders you had to deal with? This is your opportunity to vent.

I really think that the Active Rain Community would benefit from this discourse as there are some Realtors that are very intimidated by the process or they are just flat out frustrated. My goal is to help educate those who are seeking information regarding the Short Sale process. We have a ton of Short Sales in Denver, CO and more to come. Let's see what we can do to help each other out.

To date I currently have 8 of them working and they all have a very good chance of being sold. I have a investor who I have teamed up with to get the offer submitted right when I get the listings and a system in place that gives me a high rate of success.

What are some of the tricks of the trade that you have up your sleeve when dealing with Short Sales.

All of your experiences are greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Therapy is a bunch of Bull... Fill in the blank

I got a pretty good chuckle out of this joke:

The town fathers were looking for a way to increase attendance and participation at their regular meetings. One member suggested bringing in a hypnotist. The officials agreed, a famous hypnotist was hired, publicity distributed, and everyone was pleased.

A few weeks later the meeting hall was packed, and the town's people sat fascinated as the hypnotist withdrew a pocket watch. The hypnotist began chanting... "Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch..."

The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch, until suddenly the hypnotist's fingers slipped and the watch fell to the floor...

"Crap" said the hypnotist.

It took three weeks to clean up the town hall.

I was wondering if my fellow Active Rainer's could do me a favor and do something for me. I am trying to break the 30 comments mark and I was wondering if you could help by either commenting funny or not funny. Did you know that 25 points is added to your profile when you leave a comment on a post? Let me know what you think.

Read this to see how good you are at Math. Kind of funny.

I find these numbers to be interesting:

The population of this country is 237 million.
104 million are retired.
That leaves 133 million to do the work.
There are 85 million in school,
which leave 48 million to do the work.
Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government.
This leaves 19 million to do the work.
4 million are in the Armed Forces,
which leaves 15 million to do the work.
Take from the total the 14.8 million people who work for State and City Government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work.
There are 188,000 in hospitals,
so that leaves 12,000 to do the work.
Now, there are 11,998 people in Prisons.
That leaves Just two people to do the work. You and me.
And you're just sitting there reading jokes all day!

Growth Leader is absolutely amazing. Who wouldn't want to grow their business like this.

All,

I have been with Growth Leader a 2 weeks now and it has been pretty interesting. I have had 15 buyer inquiries so far. At least they were requesting listings to view. I am planning on attending the class this week so that I can better utilize their services. I am very thankful for Bob and the Market Leader team have given me this opportunity to increase my business. It is definitely a huge value and I would recommend others looking into it. It is defintiley a lead generation tool that you have to stay committed to and respond quickly to the inquiries. Those of you that are consistently blogging on Active Rain will have no problem dedication time and enery to this effort.

The only trouble I seem to be having is that I can't seem to get many of them to respond back to me. I have been pretty good about sending them an e-mail when I am alerted. Any thoughts? What are some of the things you do to get them to respond?
