Can I negotiate my commissions with clients?
Yes. The law provides that brokers and agents are free to negotiate their own sales commissions.
What was the transition like moving from a regular office to a virtual brokerage?
It will be a much easier transition than you anticipate as most real estate agents already have home offices.
Am I free to use any lender, title or escrow company in my transactions?
Yes. Although we have great working relationships with many vendors and/or service providers, you are free to select the services that best suit your clients’ needs. A regional list of reputable service providers is easily accessible and readily available on our back office Agent Command Center. If you need additional suggestions, we have an “Ask the Broker” blog to get answers to any questions you may have.
How soon do I get paid after an escrow has been closed?
Typically within a few days of receiving funds from escrow. Your transaction file must be certified by our corporate broker before you can be paid. Additionally, we belong to eCommission so this is another option to receive advanced payment.
Can I use my own vendor for business cards, signs and marketing materials?
Yes, you may use your current vendor or one of our approved vendors that carry the Summit Realty Group logo. Please keep in mind that all marketing materials need to have our Summit Realty Group logo. The vendors we have chosen keep a template of our logo on file. We have negotiated discounts, so you will probably find that you can get them at a much better value with one of our approved vendors. However, if you prefer to have them made elsewhere, you can simply provide them with our logo, which is available in our Agent Command Center. If you choose to have your current vendor design your marketing materials, we ask that the templates be approved by the broker in advance.
What forms does Summit Realty Group use and where can I find them?
We only use state or local association approved forms. You may obtain many of them directly from our Agent Command Center.
What if I refer a client to another broker and receive a referral fee?
Summit Realty Group agents may receive a referral fee from another broker. Summit Realty Group’s fee will be 10% of the referral fee. This item is applicable only when you are receiving a referral payment from another broker not associated in a state we are licensed in.
Do you provide office space or a conference room?
No, if you’re going to the office everyday looking for business, you’re not looking in the right place! Our philosophy of being a virtual eco-friendly company means just that. Our agents are truly self-reliant and work best from their home office, the field and at open houses. Keeping the company overhead low by being virtual allows us to provide other valuable benefits for our agents. It is fiscally responsible and is a win win for all of us! We believe that big fancy offices are a thing of the past. The new paradigm is virtual. Everyone has laptops, smart phones and GPS in their cars. So being mobile is Today’s Reality.
Can I open a branch office of Summit Realty Group?
Yes, you can request an approval from our corporate team to open your own branch office!

How do I get broker support?
Broker assistance is provided by contacting the broker directly or calling to answer any of your questions.
