The Space Coast Music Festival at Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral, Florida was held on Sat., Sept., 24, 2011. All the great local bands were there including Mo Geetz, Danny Morris, The Bone Dogs, Overload and more. The Capeview Elementary School Music Program will benefit from this event sponsored by e.A.R.T.H Awareness Music in the Schools Program.

This is my second video of the NKF Cocoa Beach Surfing Festival and features more bikinis and crowd shots. It was a busy Labor Day Weekend at the beach and although I didn't get the pros on this shoot, the young lads provided some great entertainment. The bikinis weren't bad either!

I walked down to the Banana River Lagoon at sundown on 9/11/11 and tried to make sense of why tragedies like the WTC happen. The obvious answer is that the human race has not yet evolved to the point of eliminating violence and murder. Will we ever get there? I asked the clouds because the sun disappeared not wanting to answer.
They said that even the sun must yield to rain clouds but it always shines through again in the end. Without the rain, there would be no life to be nourished by the sun. Your job, simply put, is to refrain from blowing up the planet before the human race evolves in a million years or so. Can you handle that?
Memorials are wherever you find them....Even in a Bronze and Blue Lagoon. Never forget the victims and heroes of 911!

This is the 5 minute video I put together from about 45 minutes of HD filming. It is best viewed in HD 720p or 1080p depending on your internet speed and keep in mind YouTube reduces the quality to save bandwidth. What I see on my computer is much sharper but this rendition is acceptable. Video Camera: Panasonic HDC-TM90. The still photos were captured from the video.

Every first Friday of the month, Cape Canaveral holds a Friday Fest. It's a great place to bump into all your neighbors and enjoy a street party. Here are some stills I captured from the HD video I shot with my Panasonic HDC-TM90. They don't rival my Nikon D90 but for the web, the quality is pretty good. I'll post the video another day. This week end is jam packed with events with the major one being the National Kidney Foundation Annual Surfing Festival. I should have some decent photos of that one soon.
