Everyone that knows me figured it would just be a matter of time before I formed a group about California. I have bloged so many photos and stories about the West Coast State, I had to go beyond the realms of duty.
My first visit to the wonderful State of CALIFORNIA was back it 1974 when I was only 16 years of age.
I moved to the West Coast from Minnesota when I was 16 years old with a friend from school and lived in Portland Oregon. At this time I would hitch-hike down the whole West Coast through CALIFORNIA.
With a back-pack, harmonica in one hand & a Bible in the other I would travel up and down Hwy 1 and 101 taking in the wonders of the West Coast.
So my CALIFORNIA DREAMING had come true, I spent over 5 years traveling from Oregon to California getting to know the West Coast like the back of my hand.

Mammoth Lakes California - CALIFORNIA DREAMING
Some may ask, did you work? Well of course I worked but only 5 months out of the year, the rest of the year I traveled up and down the State of Oregon & California.
If you have never been to California, you must plan a vacation and see what all the fuss is about. Try to visit the Northern part of California. I was most so impressed with the northern part of the state because it is more laid back and relaxing.
California has the tallest trees in the world, (Redwoods) it has the oldest tree in the world, (Bristle Cone Pine), the most beautiful coast line in the world and some very fun cities, like Redding, Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles & San Diego, just to name a few.
So if you are a Active Rain Member and live in California, have traveled in California, of love California, please join my new group and post blogs with stories and photos attached. Here in the URL for the group and we look forward to reading and viewing you photos.
Have a wonderful day and I will see you in The Rain

I am posting this blog because Jessica was the first member of Active Rain that I was able to meet. And I drove around 700 miles to meet her and look at some property that she had listed in Ferndale California, very close to Fortuna and Eureka on the West Coast.
When I first met Jessica she wiped out her lab tap and we started looking at different properties. She was very excited to visit with me and she is a very warm hearted person.
Jessica is avery lucky person because she lives in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Northern California by the ocean.
We drove up and looked at this beautiful 3000 acres she had listed right in Ferndale and it was so beautiful. If I would have had the money, I would have signed the papers right then and there.
Another reason I am posting this blog is because Jessica Bigger has 3 featured logs in a row. I have never seen this and she has found her spot in Active Rain.
If you read this post and know Jessica, please let her know about it and I want her to come to this posted blog and tell everyone where this photograph was taken. It is about 17 miles south of where Jessica showed me her property listing.
Here is Jessica's contact information if you would like to know anything about her or intersted in properties that are so beautiful, you would have to see them to believe it.
This ones for you Jessica, your are a wonderful young lady and it was a pleasure to meet you.

Renee Burrows & Robert Swetz
Today I finally met with Renee Burrows in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It was very hard to set up an appointment with her because she is a very busy young lady.
Renee Burrows is rated one of the top two Active Rain members in Las Vegas, so it was a privileged to sit down and talk about our businesses and about how much we enjoy Active Rain.
Renee is helping me plan for a get together in Las Vegas for Active Rain members. We are thinking maybe a huge house boat on Lake Mead, two story that will hold about 50 plus people.
My meeting with Renee was a very pleasant one and she is a very interesting person and we do have some things in common when it comes to Real Estate and our thoughts on life.
Renee is my 3rd person I have met from Active Rain and it was very exciting. I was lucky to get a photograph of the two of us because she felt she wasn't dressed up enough. I had to beg her and she finally she said OK!
We are hoping to do some business together soon and are going to start a meeting for AR members from Las Vegas area and meet once per month.
Thank you Renee for taking the time to meet me for lunch!
And if you have never met Renee, she is a very sweet wonderful person and I am glad that we have become friends through THE RAIN!

11th Hole - photo taken by Robert Swetz
This has to be one of the most different and beautiful Golf Courses I have ever seen.
Just 7 miles south west of Hurricane Utah is this Golf Course in the middle of these mountains with colors of bright red, greens, and other mineral deposits colors.
It is a eighteen hole Golf Course and to get to the greens you take Golf Carts down these winding roads and zig-zag back and forth to get to the next hole.
As you can see by this photo below, you drive off of this cliff over and around these beautiful red rocks, and I don't mean with your cart, the ball.

I didn't Golf the Course myself, we just drove a Golf Cart around and took some photographs and enjoyed the views and fresh air.
Down below is another great photo of 6th hole.
If anyone is more interested in information on this breath-taking Golf Course please let me know. It would be very easy for me to find out.
Huricane Utah is only 2 hours east of Las Vegas Nevada and 20 minutes from St George Utah.

On my visit to Cedar City Utah and other areas in South West Utah we came across some snow on Saturday and Sunday.
The snow was coming down at different times Saturday afternoon and then in the evening. I knew that Sunday morning would be a great time to drive towards the mountain, Brian's Head - Cedar City where many people from Las Vegas going skying, because of the large amounts of snow fall.
And I was right, we drove up 3 miles up the road out of Cedar City and I shot these wonderful photographs of the snow and the leaves changing colors Sunday morning.
It was so beautiful with the fresh white snow and if I would of drove up later in the afternoon, the snow would have melted. The water in this creek is so clean you can drink it.
These photographs that I am posting on this blog and several other blogs I posted before this were taken special for all my friends and family at Active Rain.
Kind of a fresh start for everyone with the new week, kind of like this fresh snow that I photographed by the creek.
Have a wonderful beginning of the week and enjoy the photographs because I posted them for you!
