A typical Saturday in the life of a REALTOR

Was today a typical Saturday in the life of a REALTOR®?

I'd have to say, it is somewhat typical of what I have experienced since beginning my Real Estate career in 1999.

A typical Saturday in the life of a REALTOR®, gives new meaning to the word "multi-tasking".

So this is how my day went:

  • Neighborhood garage sale this morning
  • Ate a salad at home
  • Installed lock boxes on my new listing 19196 Woodmont Plantation
  • Showed a property on the way back to my office. (This couple called me from my name on the sign). The picture is below:

  • Back to the office to write an offer on a house
  • Email the offer to my client, do some paper work and straighten up my desk a little
  • Shop at the grocery store for dinner and Thanksgiving items
  • Stop by pharmacy
  • Dinner with daughter
  • Paper work until almost bedtime

If your REALTOR® looks tired or run down think back to this description of a typical Saturday in the life of a REALTOR®.

Fantastic home in Longhill Gate

Fantastic home in Longhill Gate

I have just reduced the price to $300,000 on this fantastic home in Longhill Gate. Don't miss the open house this Sunday! Come by between 1 and 4 because seeing is believing!

The house is immaculate, and backs up to a private wooded area. The sunroom on the main level that was originally a screened porch. The current owners paid $339,000 in 2006 and absorbed the cost of converting the screened porch to additional living space.

The lovely town house is over 2900 square feet with a one car garage and lots of storage. The large bonus room in the basement has a pool table that conveys. The lower could easily work for an extended family with mother-in-law, adult child or teenager who would like to have their own living space.

The owners need to move to a one level house due to their age.

Resources to help prevent foreclosure

Check out these resources to help prevent foreclosure

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development keeps a list of HUD-approved counseling agencies.

You can call (800) 569-4287 to find the HUD approved agency in your local area.

If you have an FHA loan, you may qualify to have HUD make a one-time payment to bring your mortgage current. Click on this link to learn information to learn if your house will qualify.

Another one of the resouces to help prevent foreclosure would be to talk to a loan officer about the possibility of refinancing your mortgage to a more affordable program.

You may qualify for special forbearance which is a a new payment structure if your cost of living has gone up due to a job loss, a decrease in wages, or unexpected medical expenses. This payment structure will allow the owner to repay the lender in a given time frame.

These are a few of the many resources to help prevent foreclosure.

My daughter needs a new Verizon wireless phone

My daughter needs a new Verizon wireless phone. She just posted this on Facebook: I am seriously getting a new phone ... probably today. All I really need is texting and a camera option. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please give us your comments reviews and feedback on phones available through Verizon. They are our carrier and their phones are expensive since they have the majority of the customers here in Williamsburg.

Thanks ahead of time for all of your help!!!
