Recent articles in our local newspaper have seemed a little optimistic to me. I certainly don't want to discourage people from buying or selling real estate, but it's important to tell the truth about the market in San Antonio and the surrounding areas: we may be doing better than many other places around the country, but our sales are down...and it's a good time to buy!

The sales price to list price ratio is a bit lower too, and homes are staying on the market longer.
