I have been cold calling on Real Estate agents, Attorney's, Mortgage lenders and homeowners.

The same response is given each time from each sector.

The economy is slow. I do not have clients, loans, and needs for appraisers at this time.

If I weren't such a work horse, I would go hide out in the barn.

My hope is that someone will read this and give me a bit of advice as to what to say, and how to counter approach the negative feedback I have been receiving.

My goal is to keep on cracking open those doors and keep plugging away until I come across someone that will say, boy I sure am glad you stopped by. I have been searching for someone to help with this heavy load. Well, ok maybe a little too enthusiastic.

Any tips are welcome!

If you even turn on the TV today the news is all about Hurricane Ike.

So many people are effected by this tremendous storm. We can only hope that life will go back to some sense of normalcy quickly.

Weatherwise these storms are seasonal. It's a fact of life that we face each year about this time.

Life storms are not seasonal. They happen to us for many reasons. Some storms are self inflicted, some are by a set of circumstances beyond our control.

Either way, we can get past them. We just keep on plugging along and keep looking for the sunshine to move around the clouds.

I have come to believe that if you keep working towards tha goals set before you, one day, your goals will become a reality.

Birthdays, each year we face yet a another one.

It seems as we get older, they come a lot quicker. For me the anticipation of them is no longer there.

When I was a child I looked at birthdays with great anticpation. I was getting older, no longer a little kid. Then when I was a teenager I couldn't wait to become of age! An adult, now it is no big deal. I even try to keep it on the down low (as my teenagers would say).

The most important thing about birthdays is not looking at the age in years you are, but to look at what you have in this life (family & friends etc.) and what you want to accomplish within the next year.

So, here's to all that are celebrating their birthdays today and the days to come.

I am new to this new way of networking. A friend of mine invited me to join ActiveRain. At first I thought, "I'll get to this at some point".

Then he told me that a client that turned into a sell found him through ActiveRain. When he shared that with me I thought, "Wow, I really need to get this going".

I am so excited about networking through ActiveRain. I found out that you not only have the networking through whoever is also a member, but also through the internet.

Last night, I received an email from a relative that found me through the internet. That perked my curiousity. I then went to the internet, pulled up my name, I was first on the page! I then pulled up Appraiser, Owasso, Ok, and I was fifth on the first page. This is great!

I will tell everyone I know that about this networking opportunity!

I have found myself with a near constant headache and a kink in my neck and shoulder lately. I started thinking of the amount of time I spend with a cell phone up to my ear. In the world of business, cell phones are a lifeline.

I told my husband about the way I was feeling and almost immediately he gave me a Bluetooth headset. I have to tell you this is a wonderful tiny piece of equipment. I can't believe I didn't think of it before.

Goodbye headaches, neck and shoulder aches. Hello, ease and comfort!
