Saint Valentine's Day, better known as simply Valentine's Day, is the annual commemoration of love celebrated on February 14. Valentine's Day was first related to romantic love by Geoffrey Chaucer during the Middle Ages. Until the 19th century handwritten valentines were often given rather than modern mass-produced greeting cards.
Valentine's Day is often celebrated with expressions of love, and gifts of chocolates, flowers, and cards known as "valentines." Symbols of modern Valentine's Day include heart shapes, figures of winged Cupid, and doves.

Oh the feeling!! You can’t escape this Super Bowl fever.
I have to admit, I am not a football fanatic, I am a football-ambivalent wife/mother/friend J I watched exactly zero hours and zero minutes of NFL action this year. But I can’t ignore the excitement everybody, including me, is having today. Only mine is related more to a get-together-eat-a-lot kind of thing. I will watch the Super Bowl for one, and only one reason, just to find out who will come up on top: Brady, or Eli?
And of course, commercials. Madonna (are you kidding me?) still looks the same... I remember dancing to her hits when I was a school girl! What potion is she on? Please share with me. J

Throughout the years I have done a lot of interior design projects. It started as a hobby first, but later, when my friends saw my designs they started referring me to their friends and their family members...
Nowadays, being busy with real estate, I don’t have much time to do “fun stuff”. But still, I receive phone calls from my ex-customers who are “just wondering, if I can do one more project for them”. Of course, I manage (as always) to fit it into my crazy schedule. My husband is making a joke sometimes; he says that I learned how to clone myself J

Nothing is more satisfying then happy client after all! And I’ve made one more client happy today. I helped Lydia decorate her home. She loved the drapes and pillows I made for her. Thank you Lydia, for being my return customer for many years!

Why I became a realtor.
For my whole life, I have been around people and I consider myself outgoing and positive. I am also hardworking person and have been a piano teacher since 1995, when my husband decided to come to United States to undertake his PhD in Physics. I had no choice but to followJ. My biggest fear back then—was not knowing English. I don’t know if you can fully “feel” the pain I went through the first few years I lived in America. But I have to say that I am confident now that my English is pretty good. What about a little accent? Well, it will stay with me, and give me even more individuality!
By profession, I am a classical pianist with a Master in Arts (piano pedagogy/classical performance). I also have about 15 years of teaching experience but I remember how challenging it was for me to start my piano studio years ago. But hard work, my competitive spirit, and significant desire to succeed gave me strength. Now, I am the director and owner of the South Windsor Piano Studio, LLC, with about 55 students enrolled. I do believe that if you really want to do something and if you work as hard as you can, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
Here follows a little story just to share with you why I became a real estate agent:
A few years ago, after moving all over the country (Lexington, KY; Pasadena, CA; and finally settling down in South Windsor, CT) we had a chance to buy our first home! You probably remember the FEELING when you received your keys at the closing table and then went to your NEW home. What an amazing time for each of us.
Unfortunately, our whole experience of buying a home was not all
that pleasant, however. Being complete new to the buying process and not knowing what to look for or how everything should be done, we relied on our agent. I have to say, she was a nice lady, but as it turned out later, she could have done much better in representing us. To give you one example. When we arrived at the home to do our home inspection, the listing agent and both homeowners with their two little dogs were present. I do understand that MAYBE that is okay with some buyers, but I think that EVERY BUYER deserves a private time with the inspector. Our agent didn’t insist (or even suggest to us) than we ask the owners to leave the property. So, it turned out to be a march through the home with inspector, my husband, me and the owners cheerfully following us with quips such as : “Oh, that is okay.... This worked perfect, for us.”
Then on the day of the closing, we went for our final walkthrough and found that the owners were still in the house, moving out. The garage was trashed with boxes, and an old slider door (“Oh! You may need it if you decide to do an addition to your home; Oh! You may use these Halloween, Thanksgiving decorations”). We politely told them that we were not going to do any addition soon, and that we would not use the scary fake flowers and sad-looking turkey for our décor. But, again, our agent didn’t insist (or suggest to us) that this trash be removed or that the former owners provide us with some money in escrow to do so ourselves.
Well, after all we went through and feeling a bitter aftertaste for some time, I decided that what had happened wasn’t right. I couldn’t stop thinking about what should be done correctly... And a few years ago I decided to become a real estate agent myself. I don’t aim to become wealthy in this business, but what I REALLY want to do is provide people with the service and representation they deserve, to guide them all the way through the process of buying or selling their home.
So, being a full-time mom to two wonderful boys (ages 7 and 14), and having a wonderful, supportive husband, I continue two jobs that I couldn’t imagine not doing: In both of these positions, real estate agent and piano teacher. I am passionate about what I do; I think that is why I am successful in each. I am still trying to educate myself further and do my absolute best in helping people with their real estate needs. What could be better than to be known as a piano teacher, who is patient and kind, and as a real estate agent, who is knowledgeable and helpful? I am delighted to be known as both. J
