As with most 'Type-A' personalities I find myself burning both ends of the candle when it comes to my profession. This can be a good thing as long as you don't mind setting aside other things such as Family, friends, hobbies, etc. As my dear wife will tell you, I know two settings when it comes to business - PEDAL TO THE METAL and Full Stop.
Possibly my years in the Military instilled this in me. Being used to working 12 hour days for long periods to include weekends was the norm as many you have served or are serving now will tell you - so when I retired, I certainly did not see it in the definition that many would see 'retirement'. You know, days of waking up with no apparent schedule, wondering if you were going to go fishing or play a round of golf.
No, certainly not! Besides at 38? (40 now) Who retires at that age - entirely too you and while Military Retirement Pay is not bad, it certainly is not enough to live off when you have a young one in the house and still have goals that you are wanting to achieve. No, retirement is a bad term. A second career or life would be more appropriate.
This past year has been tremendous for Pam and I - we have been blessed to have been afforded the opportunity to serve many clients who were buying or selling in the Clarksville Real Estate Market. Much of this success came from many hours of work ensuring that our client's needs were met and hopefully exceeded which should be the norm. Beyond that, we spend many hours blogging and social networking.
At first many within our office did not appreciate the power of social networking or the efforts put forth by blogging. I think their interest has certainly been peaked now. Social networking and blogging, while enjoyable to me is work and many who do it much better than I will tell you that a good blog is not quick nor immediate. It takes much time and thought and depending on the content it can entail alot of research.
While my blogs are certainly far from the technical, I do believe my blogging style has developed and will continue to do so over the years to come. I enjoy blogging about what I am thinking RIGHT NOW whether it be about our Great Country, our Great Military, the Clarksville Real Estate Market, my Family, etc. No real science or strategy to it, just allowing people to KNOW me and Pam as who we are - no fluff, and no frills - just honest and upfront. Guess what, it works - honesty always does.
Purchasing or Selling Real Estate is a major transaction in most every Americans life. Not something that should be taken lightly by either the client or the Realtor representing them. When people start the process, the first place most people go is the Internet - with searches such as Clarksville Home Values, Clarksville Homes for Sale, Clarksville Real Estate, etc. We as Realtors want to be seen when these searches are ran via Google, Bing, Yahoo. We also should want potential clients to KNOW not only what we have to offer, but who we are to a certain extent.
Pam and I enjoy a pretty robust social network and much to my surprise our blogs are seen all over the country and every day I get comments from people on various blogs from the simplest to the most detailed. From people in the Real Estate Profession, to potential clients, to just folks who we helped put a smile on their face. The last in itself is accomplishment enough for me. I sincerely enjoy making someone smile - there is nothing better in the world than to see the light in a person's eyes.
Anyhow, to get back on theme here, I say all the above to say that I have burned the candle on both ends for sometime as has Pam. This weekend was the first in a long time that we actually had the opportunity to focus on Family and the things we enjoy doing such as working on the home and in the yard. This is not to say that we are going to be any less passionate about our clients both past, present and future - it is to say that we have come to the realization that much like life itself, the Real Estate Profession is a marathon and not a sprint.
Back are the Sunday game nights with our daughter (She has friends over tonight), the movie night and just making time for Family and Friends. We will not stress over what the future will bring and concentrate on the here and now. We will continue to condition ourselves for the long run ahead and ensure that we have rest stops along the way.
Thanks to our great network, our clients and our Friends the word will continue to spread about The Cash Team and our dedication to assisting Families in the Clarksville Real Estate Market for years to come. Rather than sprint the short distance we will be here for the long haul to ensure your Clarksville Housing needs are met.
Here's to the long race! We will see you along the route!

Be sure to check out our other post Clarksville Homeowners - What is your Home Worth?
It may suprise you to know that many Clarksville homeowners believe that their home is worth more than what it actually is.
When you're selling your home in Clarksville, the price you set is a critical factor in the return you'll receive. That's why you need a professional evaluation from an experienced Clarksville Realtor. This person can provide you with an honest assessment of your home, based on several factors including:

In real estate terms, market value is the price at which a particular house, in its current condition, will sell within 30 to 90 days.
If the price of your home is too high, several things could happen:
Clarsville Realtors have known it for years - Well-kept homes, properly priced in the beginning always get you the fast sale for the best price! And that's why you need a professional to assist you in the selling of your home.

Greetings from The Cash Team
Clarksville FSBO - This is Tim and Pam Cash with Crye-Leike (Sango) and we would like to tell you 5 reasons why letting us market your home is the smart choice.
1. We will prepare a careful and thorough Comparative Market Analysis on your home to help you arrive at the best possible listing price. Pricing your home correctly the first time can help you to avoid a lengthy stay on the market.
2. There is more to marketing a home than putting a sign in the yard and an ad in the classifieds. We will prepare an aggressive marketing plan that begins with listing your home in the Clarksville MLS and continues with mailouts, frequent ads and a virtual online tour of your home.
3. We will market your house not only to potential buyers but to other agents. Marketing to other agents through avenues such as Agent open houses gets your house noticed by the people most likely to bring you the right offer. Most buyers don't show up off the street, they are brought by a Realtor®!
4. We will get your house on the Realtor® "A" list by installing a lock box on your house. Here's why... Like you Realtors® are busy people, often touring homes with several clients in a single day. They will tend to show the homes which provide easy access and which don't require appointments. These are the "A" list houses. Only after they have exhausted these possibilities will they take the time to set up appointments to show homes which do not have a lock box.
5. We will do a pre-marketing walk-through with you to help you pinpoint areas of your home that need visual improvement or re-arranging to make the best first impression. For house-hunters first impressions do count!
As an experienced Realtor® with a respected company we have the training, the support network, the knowledge and the tools to help you get the highest price for your home in the shortest amount of time. To find out more, check out our Web site at www.cashsofclarksville.com , or just call us at 931-338-1375. We look forward to hearing from you.

As many of my friends know, Pam is an avid Scrapbooking Hobbiest. In the hours not spent working Real Estate in Clarksville or playing the latest craze 'Farm Town' she can be found in her Scraproom working on her latest piece.
This has been a passion of Pam's over the past few years. It seems to be growing in popularity around the country. Pam has won numerous local accolades as well as a few regional for her work. She also teaches from time to time as a volunteer. Mainly, she just loves to scrap our memories. Soon, we will need a bigger house in which to put all the albums!
There are four Clarksville Scrapbook Stores. Two of which Pam frequents and is good friends with the owners. Most all offer anything a person could want in way of Scrapbook Supplies and materials.
The days of the old photo albums have certainly been replaced with digital photo albums, dvds and cds of memories to be passed on to loved ones. While I certainly enjoy watching collages of family photos on the big screen, I must say that Scrapbooked Memories just have a certain feel to them with everyone telling a different story.
As you can see with the below sampling of Pam's work, the huge focus in her life (and mine) is our Daughter. This is as it should be and I sincerely hope that she looks back on these pages years from now and realizes just how much her mother and I love her as she continues to grow up right before our eyes.
Anyhow, I wanted to share some of Pam's work with you. She will probably be upset with me for doing so - but I like to share:

Be sure to check out our other blog post Considering a Short Sale in Clarksville Tennessee?
When considering a Short Sale in Clarksville Tennessee, the first step is to realize that a Short Sale is a process that will weigh on your emotions and patience as well as that of your Family. Finding an experienced and compassionate Real Estate Professional would be your second step in the process.
Short Salesare becoming more prevalent in today's market, especially in a Military City such as Clarksville. With many of our Heroes from Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) returning from their duties abroad, they are now looking forward to their PCS move to another installation. On the norm, Army Familiesstay an average of 3 years at one installation. That said, the decline in the Clarksville Real Estate Market, while not being as significant as in other areas around the country still have left many Army Families with the realization that they will not be able to sale their home for the amount owed.
The process can be a lengthy one, but one that will save you and your Family from the possibility of Foreclosure. As it is true in the Army, so it is with a Short Sale in Clarksville - Communication and Teamwork are key. Communicating with your significant other, your Realtor and with the bank during the process.
