93030: The Overlooked Zip

For those of you familiar with the Henry T. Oxnard Historic District in North Oxnard, on F Street, tonight marked a fabulous time as residents of the Wilson neighborhood council and many others turned on the Christmas lights and holliday sounds and welcomed hundreds, if not thousands of onlookers to come and visit. The Oxnard Police Department escorted Santa Clause down the street and the sirens could be heard for miles! The sight is amazing, and if anyone wants to check this wonderful Christmas display out after the sun goes down out I encourage you all to make a detour off 101 and head south to Downtown Oxnard and F Street, this is a must see, especially on foot!

Of special note is how many people from the Ventura County area are not aware of what a fabulous neighborhood F Street is. Once they can get past any anti-Oxnard tendencies (and I have met those folks) your clients will be amazed. Be sure to take them down Fernwood Dr as well, all I can say is Wow! What homes! In fact, I highly recommend touring the 93030 zip code thoroughly if you have the time, from Carriage Square ranch homes to H Street bungalows, its all here!

What to do while your waiting for the golden lead!

Bored Stiff

Today I did the "desk watch" as I call it at the Keller Williams office on 1121 Harbor Blvd from 9:00 A.M. to about 2:00 P.M. You know how many walk-ins we got today? 1! And I didn't even get the lead 'cause another agent was already there and ready to go. Note to self; be assertive and be the first to say "hello" when a potential client walks in the door. OK, anyway,

Bingo!

So I sat there bored stiff after my colleague left and I was left all alone. Oh, I had plenty to do, i.e. market research, organizing my pencils, and playing video games. Actually, I did update me blog, and another friend's blog. Yes, I update several friend of mines blogs for them. A window and door contractor that just doesn't have the time or know-how to update such things. He is not only a friend but neighbor as well. Bod Dehart's Patio Door and Windo Installations. Free Estimates!

Light comes on

Anyway, so I'm fairly new to the blog scene but it didn't take me long to figure out that one sure way to get a business owner and potential source of leads to agree to share links on the WWW is to offer to build them a blog and manage it. This was easy with Bob Dehart 'cause we're great friends and he needs the business anyway. I'm amazed there are still business owners who do not utilize all the tools available to them to generate business!

In summary

If there is one thing I want to get out of this blogging adventure is to share ideas and knowledge with other business owners and clients alike. I don't hide sources from my friends either, so if you would like to have a networking meeting to discuss each others unique ways of finding leades please, by all means, call me today and lets sit down over a hot coffee!
