Holiday BOAT PARADE of the Palm Beaches

The Holiday Boat Parade of the Palm Beaches is nearing once again. On Saturday December 6^th, 2008 the annual boat parade will begin at Peanut Island at 6:00 PM and proceed on the Intracoastal Waterway all the way north to the Jupiter Lighthouse! That's right; the parade route was moved to give viewers the opportunity to watch the parade from a completely new perspective and to give the participants on the boats a chance to interact with the observers at the water's edge.

Unforgettable and exciting, the holiday boat parade is one that should not be missed. The parade is accompanied by a dazzling fireworks display, and can be seen from any waterway bar or restaurant. Viewing areas include waterfront restaurants, parks, marinas, and numerous waterfront homes lining the route. The annual Holiday Boat Parade of the Palm Beaches has been a continuing tradition for many years; it is a very popular event for both boaters and fans of the parade. There are more boats entering each year and we are seeing more imaginative and ornamental boats every year.

The event is presented by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, Inc, which along with hosting the boat parade it will hold its 2^nd annual Marine Industries Toys for Tots Drive. Sea Tow Palm Beach and Towboat U.S. will make dockside donation pickups during the parade. Tie a white ribbon to a piling or tree behind your home or have someone wave a flashlight when you see the red and yellow towboats passing by and our volunteer captains will stop by and pick up donations right from your dock!
