This road would be great for North Rio Rancho residents that need to travel to the East mountains. Also, it will be a way for people that live in the East mountains to travel to Rio Rancho and the Northern Albuquerque area (say... to come to an event at the Santa Ana star center). I Hope the County and the BLM get it figured out quickly.

ABQjournal West_News: Brakes Put on Placitas Road: "Sandoval County staff will postpone any plans for a new road to serve the Placitas area until, at the earliest, the Bureau of Land Management completes its land-use planning for the area, according to Sandoval County spokesman Gayland Bryant." We are thrilled to see how the new mayor of Rio Rancho has really hit the ground running. Over the past few years there has been quite a bit of turmoil in the city management and it's nice to see Mayor Swisstack pushing to get things going again. I feel that in the past year the city has been in a lull but with the new administration in place things should really start picking up with the many projects that need to get done. It's going to be difficult for the city to put together cohesive master plans because of the antiquated planting. But so far I give the mayor kudos for setting positive tone and really trying to move the city forward. Tego

The Observer Online: "Mayor Tom Swisstack gives credit to the people of Rio Rancho for its growth. “It’s really because of people like you,” Swisstack told the 400 or so gathered at the NAIOP ‘State of the City’ address on Monday, “that has made Rio Rancho the fastest growing city in New Mexico.” To say that Swisstack is determined to put Rio Rancho on the map would be an understatement. He is not happy with Rio Rancho being the third largest and fastest growing city in New Mexico with 10,000 residents. Swisstack’s goal, according to his address on Monday, is for Rio Rancho to be the second largest city in New Mexico and to be aggressive in establishing economic diversity within city limits, not being content to use services available in west Albuquerque."
Rio Rancho is about to have another Pro sports team at the Santa Ana Star Center. Today was the office announcement of the New Mexico Wildcats professional football team. The Wildcats will play their home games at the Star Center, with the first home game being on April 26. I went to the Press Conference today and the excitement level was high as Rio Rancho Mayor welcomed the team and the league to New Mexico. The Team owners and League owners had great things to say about the community and felt that this was an important market for them to be in. The game play sound like it is fast paced. The AIFA owners stressed that they want to keep the game exciting and family friendly. You can see more about the game rules HERE. Here is the quote from the AIFA website… “The League will provide a dynamic style of play so unique and exciting that fans and communities not only enjoy, but desire the sport in any and all geographic area of the United States”.

Over the years during other careers, Tracy's friends considered her as the official "unofficial" real estate expert. She and her husband have done extensive home remodeling, sold their own home and rental homes, designed and had built their current home, and been involved with numerous pieces of investment property, flips, land and 1031 exchanges.
Tracy's clients know that she truly thrives on seeking to find exactly they are looking for whether it is their family home, investment property, or land. Tracy finds herself in all parts of the greater Albuquerque area and in addition to home buyers and sellers, handles many deals of just vacant land for sellers, investors and builders.
Tracy has been in New Mexico since moving here for college in 1980 (ENMU). At the time, her Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins were enjoying life in the beautiful high desert of Albuquerque. After college, she worked for a major retailer for 13 years as a Human Resource and Benefits executive. She then joined Intel Corporation as a college recruiter. She found Intel to be a great company to work for with cutting edge, progressive policies and training. Tracy left Intel when her son and daughter came along, as she was fortunate to become a full time Mom.
Before children, Tracy traveled extensively to places such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, England, Russia, Chile, Mexico, Italy, Romania... and more recently with the kids, she and Tego try to take at least one International trip a year with visits to Costa Rica and Mexico being favorites. Also before children, Tracy had a regular golf game... and hopes that her children will become avid golfers to enable her to get out on the course more often again.
After 5 years off with her young children, she decided it was time to make her love of real estate a career. What a great move this turned into as her love of real estate has allowed her to become a top Realtor in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho metropolitan area.
Tracy has lived mainly in Albuquerque's North Valley with time also in the Albuquerque Country Club neighborhood, the Northeast Heights and for the last many years in Corrales. Being from a farm in Minnesota, she appreciates and feels more comfortable near the river and bosque trails. She is the team's licensed assistant and is somewhat new to Real Estate after a long career working with the elderly, as a teaching assistant working with special needs children ,and substitute teaching. Through these other careers, she's learned great patience and many skills. Darlene's job as a part of our team is to focus on making sure the behind the scene details of your purchase or sale are handled in a thorough, organized and timely manner.
She is a devoted mother and wife, blessed with two awesome children. Her whole family is very active in school and sports in the Rio Rancho school district, as well as their church. A little known fact about Darlene is that she's also a NASCAR fan...so feel free to talk racing with her.
What is important to Darlene is honesty and integrity in all her dealings. She strives to build lasting relationships through her high attention to detail.
