It's time to let our seller know that the buyers are out and looking. They are looking at what the winter months have left over for them to do. I sent some buyers out last weekend looking at several listing in different neighbors. They were unsure where they really wanted to live so I said go take a drive and see what interest you. They had several listing sheets with them.
What I heard back was that some of the home that they thought that they would want to look at, looked so bad and unkept on the outside that they did not even want to go back and take a look at the inside. The fall clean up had not happened now all of the leaves and over grown bushes looked alot worse than they should and it really turned the buyers off.
I made phone calls to all of my listing letting them know what I had just been told. They were all glad to hear that this truly would make a difference to a buyer just driving by.
I hope to be able now to get the seller motivated enough to get outside and get the winter blahs taken care of.
I just read a blog that stated it the other way around. I think that we all need to pray that it has hit the bottom and that there is no further way down. We are on our way up. We need to see the positive and not the negative. Our office has been busy so I hope that everyone who reads this is just as busy as we are.
Good luck to all.
There have never been truer spoken, or blogged. Money is very tight everywhere. Now some of the loan officers are trying to use the $8,000 to get new folks into homes. The $8,000 is to come after they have closed. Some are trying it the other way around. The folks that are about to loose their homes are not seeing the help that is being spoken of. It seems like the snowball is just getting bigger.
I'm sure that there are many view points about all of the Stimulous money. I'm not sure where the President is going with all of it.
Sometimes we need to be quiet with are self and take time to listen to what is being said. We all have probably had better times in the business. What we need to do now is what we should be doing all of the time. Take the extra time to recontact past and present clients. Find out what their needs are. Do they or do they know of someone that will be in need of doing a transaction. We really need to be listening all of the time. We may be in conversation with anyone and they may know of someone who needs are assistance. It might not be a list or a buy right away but if we show our face when they just need some advice, they may be back when they do need to put their house on the market or they are looking to make a change of location.
There is so much here. Great schools. Plenty of activities for kids and adults. The I Wireless Center and all of the concert and shows, The skatepark, for outdoor activity, The Ice rink for indoor fun, Hockey, Arena football, soccer, baseball, there is something for everyone.
Our housing market is steady. We have houses to sell and the buyers are out looking. I think that the nice weather has helped and everyone is ready for a change.
