Should I sell now - or what am I waiting for???

There are good reasons that Now is the Time~!!

Smaller Inventory Levels. Many people took their homes off the market during the holidays and are waiting until Spring to relist. Others are just waiting until Spring because they think that's the right time to list. By listing NOW you will avoid all the potential competition that will glut the market in March, April & May!

Interest Rates. A 1% drop in interest rates is equal to a 10% savings in the sales price of a home. This is causing a surge in buyer activity. Many people are finally beginning to see this buying opportunity for what it is - an opportune time to Buy Their Dream Home! Who knows how long these great rates will stick around for?

Motivated Buyers. First time home buyers are able to take advantage of the $7,500 tax credit, which expires mid 2009. According to my own tracking reports, people are already internet shopping for these homes NOW!

Take advantage of smaller intentory levels, historically low interest rates and the buyers who have been waiting for this moment! What is everyone waiting for??? NOW IS THE TIME!!!

She Didn't Like My Picture!

As with most bloggers, I posted my 2008 memoirs http://www.AgentNelson.com/blog.aspx. I then emailed a link to my friends & family. I had posted a picture of my parents that I had taken on their wedding anniversary, which happens to be on New Years day. My mom didn't respond right away, which is unusual. This morning I received this email from her:

Here is a much better pic of Dad and I...love Mom

Dad & Mom

I guess she didn't like the picture I posted....

So, Mom - here is another post with BOTH pictures you sent to me.

Happy 37th Wedding Anniversary!!!

The Best is Yet to Come!

Sleepless in Snowy Seattle

Who ever would have thought that the Seattle area would come to a standstill for over 2 weeks due to SNOW!

Agent Claus

My laugh of the morning is a Tweet from a friend who posted, "Never thought I would be so excited to see a garbage truck, and it is not even on my street!" So true, so true!

Here is my list of 2008 Christmas memories!

1. White Christmas - We were stuck in our driveway with over 2 feet of compact snow and ice. Andy (my darling hubby) crashed into the back of our Subaru with the Expedition trying to get out! Our power was off and on intermittantly, which made cooking a turkey a slight challenge. Two of our seven children were unable to make it - the rest were trappAndy in the Exped!

2. We our upcoming Rockstars now that we own Rock Band! Both boys have their own Fender Stratocaster's and of course, I am the lead singer!Johnny Rocker

3. My Mother in law made me the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen.

4. We got our Christmas tree at the gas station on the corner. A noble for $25! I think we'll go there again next year.

5. My husband did a full on 360 (on purpose) in the middle of I-405 at 10 pm in the snow - because he could. That action led to more derelict driving in the snow. My son wants toandy & me fireplace know why I don't know how to "drift"...

6. We listened to Andy's new John Denver CD all week. I love JD, brings me back cozy childhood memories.

7. I took a bite out of the hottest Jalepeno pepper I have ever encountered. It was so hot that I burned all the way down to my tummy! After a hearty laugh, the waiter brought me a glass of milk - which surprisingly took the hot away immediately.

8. I worked a weekend for my Dad at his seasonal liquiJohnny at the cash registerdation sale and brought my 9 year old son Johnny with me. Turned into a great working/learning/mother-son thing. Customers loved having him ring up their sale, taking their money and counting their change. He was a hard worker, a good salesman and a tough manager! He earned his own money, made his Christmas list - shopped and wrapped all of his gifts and was proud of what he had done. (tear!) He now proclaims himself the Store Manager - he even sent me on a 15 minute break :)

9. Memorable evening spent with my in-laws. MIL played the organ, FIL played both a small guitar and a harmonica, and we all sang Christmas Carols. (See I told you we are Rockstars!)

10. I never got my Christmas cards mailed out - Drat!

11. Rang in the New Year with my darling husband and our old friends Steve & Peggy Markey at an Irish Pub in Kirkland.

12. Spent New Years Day with my Fabulous parents on their 37th Wedding Anniversary.

It's been a memorable year for the Nelsons, and we have put it in the books for later. I am so excited about what this new year holds for us that I'm having a hard time sleeping. Or maybe it was the sound of the back-up alarm on the garbage truck that kept me awake.....oh and it snowed again last night!
