Rocklin is about 5 miles from Roseville, 12 miles from Lincoln where Thunder Valley Casino resides, and 22 miles from Metro Sacramento. Recently the City of Rocklin celebrated the 115th Anniversary. This anniversary commemorated the incorporation of the City back in 1893.
I remember 20 years ago as I pass through this City heading north as just a mass of land with very little development. Today, Rocklin continues to evolve with planned communities such as Stanford Ranch and Whitney Oaks. Population continues to grow and a mixed group of people call this place home. Currently there are four community parks with one still under development in Rocklin. Click to learn more about the parks below:
Overall there are 26 developed parks throughout Rocklin. It is created for the residents to enjoy the beautiful bounty of Rocklin.
A place worth visiting:
Loree's Little Shack - The appearance on the outside of this Bar/Restaurant is quite deceiving. I would have never thought to enter had I not been invited by friends to join them for a get-together. But you know I have to say, the service has been quite excellent! They serve one mean taco with a secret homemade sauce from the owner herself who can be seen romping around the place. The food price is affordable. They also have an uncanny way of contributing to the environment. Snippets of newspapers are used as coasters and I found that quite interesting. Different types of jars are used for drinks. Worthy of a place to visit!

My dad is a retired U.S. Navy ~ that makes me a "Navy BRAT". I remember living in the Naval Bases and enjoying all the military events that comes up. One of these were the air shows. If you haven't seen any, now is an opportunity to see a great air performance up in the sky.
The California Capital Airshow is held annually and are held over the weekend.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be at the Mather Airport on March 15-16 to perform this beautiful airshow. This event is usually packed ~ my kids enjoys them. Tickets are affordable and kids 12 and under are FREE. To get more information on this show, click on the link below:
I know I will be there watching them again with my kids and my dad! An excellent way to support our troops.
Here's a homebrew solution - GREAT in the pocket so you won't ever have to throw money away on those harsh
drain cleaners and Ladies, we all know how harsh they are on our skin! The best part is you probably have all the necessary supply already in your home.

Take half a cup of baking soda and sprinkle down your clogged drain....

Add a half a cup of white vinegar and cover with a plate or
lid for about five minutes...
Now , pour five cups of boiling water down the drain...

Voila!
Your drain is clear and working again!

First, determine how much home you can afford. In general, you can afford a home equal in price to three times your gross annual income. But to be precise - the price of a home you can afford to pay is dependent on six important factors:
Your income
The amount of cash you have available for down payment, closing costs, and cash reserves required by the Lender.
Your outstanding debts
Your credit history
The type of mortgage you select AND
Current interest rates
The process of buying a home is much easier if you start out by getting a pre-qualified or even pre-approved with your lender for a home loan. The pre-qualification and pre-approval letters will let you know how much home you can buy, and makes YOU a credible buyer.
