Mortgage Meltdown, Stock Market Blew Up, 401K's ripped to shreads, Presidential election and now our first non-Bush/Clinton in 20-years. WOW, what a ride.
Today I think I was like most just glued to the TV. I will say that I was amused when they pulled out a new Escalade for Obama. Great product placement on Cadillac's part.
Well tonight were going to party like it is 2009. Hope this ill will for the presidency goes away and we all focus as a country to make it a better place.
Obama says it is about hope. It is. It is also about hard work and people working together.

Hey Folks!
Well the Inauguration is done. We have a new president but the financial markets don't share the same enthusiasm. So far this morning, mortgage backed securities, have opened down. Looks like Treasuries are pulling them lower. They are down big time today.
Now with no economic reports released today that will effect the markets mbs will take direction from the stock market and treasuries with treasuries the driving force. Things are a little higher today and looks like they will stay that way for the rest of the day. Float if you can.

Between MLK day yesterday adn Inaugration day today it has been challenging to get any work done. In the end it will be all worth it. I am not going to get political but I know we hear the term "Any Change is Good." I hope this is one of those times.
For today's video I looked back in time a little bit and found the Kennedy inaugration speech. This was another time for change in our country and I hope when you watch this video you find the hope and dreams that the speech intended.

For all that think this is a political post its not. This is always a interesting time in American government. This time tomorrow we will have a new head of State, a new chief, a new President. The most powerful person in the free world.
My question is what about the outgoing President? What does George Bush do tonight when business is done? What is for dinner? Does he spend it with friends and family? How well does he Sleep? and how does he sleep tomorrow? In fact, what does he do tormorrow?
Were all experienced with folks getting into a new home. Is George and Laura spending the afternoon unpacking and ordering a pizza? Do they have a bunch of friends helping unload the uhaul?
One day your the leader of the greatest nation on the planet and the next your a normal, average citizen. How does one deal with this.

Here I sit at a combo Starbucks/Charter One bank. One side is lit and the other is dark. What to guess which one? You got it! It is the Charter One Bank. This like all that I amware of are closed for the Martin Luther King Holiday. With this in mind mortgage rates will not change today.
