Village of Key Biscayne, Florida - Real Estate and Community Information

November 2nd, 2008 categories: International Buyers, Key Biscayne, Luxury Beachfront Condos, Real Estate News

It takes 12 minutes to drive from the toll booth at the entrance to the Rickenbacker Causeway to the Village of Key Biscayne. It is a short ride that will take you from the hustle of Miami to the tranquility of an island Village that feels like a resort. The very enjoyable drive follows long stretches of beach on both sides and passes the Miami Seaquarium, Tennis Center at Crandon Park, home to the Sony Ericsson Open Tennis Tournament, and a golf course, along with many amenities for water sports and fishing. Every shade of blue is visible in the water which is almost never out of sight.

Upon entering the Village of Key Biscayne you are just as likely to encounter a golf cart tricked out as a Rolls Royce leaving the soccer field full of kids, as you are to see an antique car being driven with one of the original Rickenbacker license plates. The lifestyle here is very laid back, and wants for nothing. About the only thing missing in Key Biscayne is a proper movie theater.
