The Breakers is providing a place for their residents to "go green." In May The Breakers Resort will add to their incredible amenity list by adding a community garden for their residents to plant flowers, vegetables, and fruit. The garden will be equipped with water, communal gardening tools, and sectioned off pieces of land ranging in size from 100 square feet to four hundred square feet. Although The Breakers does provide their residents with many customizable options, their is a risk when planting near their apartment so the community garden is the ideal solution. Not only will this allow for residents to bring fresh fruit and vegetables in to their home but it will encourage a greater sense of community by introducing people to their neighbors as they work together to create a "community."

The garden also coincides with the theme The Breakers is presenting in the Vision of Homes Tour with Mayor Hickenlooper.

Spring into Fitness at The Breakers Denver Luxury Apartments

After a long winter of inactivity, spring usually brings the desire to get outdoors and begin a new physical fitness regimen. The Breakers Resort offers several amenities to help you get back into shape or just spend some good quality family time outdoors. Below are a few ways to include exercise into your daily routine.

1. There is a 1.44 mile lighted path around The Breakers' 60-acre, Sunfish Lake that provides great opportunities for biking, jogging, rollerblading or even a brisk walk. Encourage your children to join you!
2. Sunfish Lake also has several exercise options; Breakers residents can reserve waterbikes, paddle boats, kayaks and canoes for some heart pumping cardio exercise.
3. A game of tennis is another great way to get your heart rate going. Reserve a tennis court at The Wave and challenge a friend or your spouse to burn some calories with you on the courts.
4. Did you know that you can burn up to 340 calories an hour playing volleyball? The Breakers has 2 sand volleyball courts to help get you into shape and work on your tan.
5. As the weather gets warmer, bring your family to one of the 7 swimming pools at The Breakers and enjoy fun, sun and a little "water-workout". Our pools open around April 15th.

On those days when the weather doesn't co-operate with your outdoor exercise plans, you can always come into The Wave; The Breakers state-of-the-art athletic club or workout with a personal trainer from Atlantis Personal Training.

EGG-Xiting Easter Entertaining Tips For Your Denver Luxury Apartment Home!

Entertaining in your Denver luxury apartment home doesn't have to be a monumental affair. With a little planning and creativity, it's likely to be a lot easier than it looks. You can do a simple brunch in your apartment home or go "all out" if you choose, either way here are a few tips to dazzle your guests.

1. There are several options for your Easter meal: you can do a simple brunch with a hearty buffet style menu. You can do a lunch with simple sliced ham sandwiches and potato salad. Or you can do a dinner with a roasted leg of lamb (see Easter recipes).
2. Make it as easy as possible on yourself by planning your menu with sides dishes, salads and desserts that require a little amount of time in the oven or that can be prepared ahead of time. Don't be afraid to buy salads or desserts premade from your local grocery store. Nobody has to know you didn't make that cute bunny cake.
3. Decorating for your Easter celebration can be as easy as displaying a few of those "leftover Easter baskets" filled with your choice of candy. Or place a few brightly colored eggs in a centerpiece bowl for added holiday dazzle. You can always bring the beautiful spring colors of the outdoors inside by making an Easter centerpiece of fresh flowers for your table.
4. Entertainment for your guests off all ages can range from your basic egg hunt (inside or outside), pin the tail on the bunny or a more elaborate scavenger hunt for the adults.
5. Don't over invite, make sure you can entertain comfortably in your space. Explore the possibility of hosting your party outdoors or in the complex's clubhouse. Be sure to give your guests the lowdown on the apartment's parking situation. Suggest carpooling if possible, since most apartments have limited guest parking.
