SPRING IS IN THE AIR! Now is the season to start spending time outdoors. Here are a few of the parks and recreation centers near The Breakers Resort Denver Luxury Apartments that you can visit to enjoy the scenery, go for a jog, take the kids to the playground, or have a picnic.

1. The Breakers Resort offers a 1.44 mile lakeside jogging path available to residents of The Breakers. You can jog, bike, roller-blade or walk around the path at Sunfish Lake. The Breakers also has a playground with picnic tables and barbecue grills next to it, so you can have a picnic while you watch the kids play.
2. Crestmoor Park on Monaco St. Parkway offers picnic tables, a playground and a jogging path..
3. Nearby Cherry Creek State Park has several activities to offer like; biking, boating, camping, and fishing. And it's only 10 minutes away from The Breakers Resort Denver Luxury Apartments.

New Library in Arapahoe County - Near Breakers Luxury Apartment Community

As if all of the amenities included in the rent at The Breakers Resort are not enough, Arapahoe County just opened up a public library near Parker Rd. and Florida called Eloise May Library. To get a library card you need proof that you are a Colorado resident and you must fill out an application form that you can get on line or at any Denver library location.

The Eloise May Public Library includes Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, study time for students, bilingual story time and more. So, go check out a book and indulge yourself in the wonders of reading!

Get Your Beads Ready for Mardi Gras Fun in/near Denver!

Fat Tuesday is on February 24th this year, here are a few places in/near Denver to have your own Mardi Gras celebration:

1. Some of the local ski resorts have their own Mardi Gras celebrations, have some fun on the slopes this year during Mardi Gras in the Mountains.
2. Wynkoop Brewery downtown has their own Fat Tuesday celebration including a parade.
3. The restaurant, Fish City Grill at the Southlands Mall in Aurora is offering live music and Louisiana stlye food.
4. The Breakers Cafe is hosting it's own Mardi Gras Party with $2 Hurricanes, $5 Angry Cinnamon Shots, music, beads and more! It all starts at 8 pm.

Breakers Ski Train Trip February 21st

Many people hear about the ski train that travels between Denver Union Station and Winter Park but rarely take part in this historic ride. The Breakers Resort has started an annual tradition of partnering with the ski train and offering discounted group tickets one time per year where residents can come together and have a fun day in the mountains of Colorado.

When you take the train to the beautiful Winter Park area you don't just have to ski. There is so much to do there such as snow mobile, snow shoe, ice skate, shop, and more. The train ride itself is very fun and unique and offers a great family experience.
