It is amazing the number of people that continue to relocate to our area with their jobs and to get closer to their family. Many folks relocating to the area are trying to figure out where to live which is typical of anyone moving to a new area. When looking to purchase a home folks should consider distance to work, schools, convenience to many amenities such as shopping, restaurants, hospitals and proximity to interstates. On Saturday night we decided to run some errands including a stop at Harris Teeter for some groceries just in case it snowed. As soon as we walked into Harris Teeter we thought there was a party going on and we were crashing it. There were people everywhere and the excitement and electricity wasn't over the anticipated snow, but it was over coupons! It was crazy and I can only describe it as a coupon party going on. Women, and men, were stopped in the aisles talking about the various coupons in their possession, the triple couple deals, the various ways to organize coupons and they even were carrying on these discussions with calculators in hand. Talk about a serious sport, these folks were coupon serious. I was blown away by how much money I heard these people talked about saving each week and it definitely got my attention and I will admit that I started ease dropping and picking up pointers as I went from aisle to aisle. It was mind blowing. I am the world's worst for putting coupons in my purse with the best intentions of using them only to find the coupons weeks (or months) later when I go and change out my purse and of course by then the coupon has expired. This was a wild scene for me, but today with so many people trying to find ways to cut expenses and save money these folks were on to something we all could learn from in our weekly shopping. I heard some of the folks talking about some websites and I confessed, I had to check them out and there really are some great coupons for restaurants, groceries, personal care products and so forth. Be sure to click on www.couponsuzy.com and www.couponbug.com. I promise they have some very good coupons and there were lots of products that we use regularly and were shopping for on Saturday night. I can tell you that the next time I go shopping I will have my coupons in hand because there are some great deals out there, but I do have to throw one caution out there to consider. Really watch and compare prices even if you have coupons, because some store brand items may offer a better deal than items with a coupon. Get in the game like these other ladies and have fun shopping and playing the coupon game by saving money each week on products that you and your family use. Have fun!
Talk about the gadget of the century! Our entire family loves the beach. Nothing like spending the day with a good book, cooler of beverages, wide ocean and your feet in the sand. For years we have always taken our umbrella to get out of the sun since we stay down at the beach all day long. We have spent tons of money on stands and new umbrellas that seem to get ruined from the hammering them down into the sand. My prayers have finally been answered thanks to Mikes Spikes. This nifty invention is an umbrella sand anchor that has a drive weight that slides up and down on the spike driving the spike into the sand. It only takes a few motions with the drive weight and the spike is securely placed in the sand. The spike also features a knob that will allow you to secure the umbrella pole in place once inserted and the spike can secure poles up to 1 1/2″. So simple and so easy to use. Mikes Spikes also features fishing sand anchors as well. Just a super product to use and must have for a day at the beach. Be sure to visit the website and give Mikes Spikes a try and tell him that Tim and Gina told you about his products. Enjoy!
