Make sure if you are in the area to plan on going to The Living Desert. During the holidays this place is amazing and you cant help but get into the holiday spirit. The lights are everywhere, and the model train display is sure to be a hit for men and boys alike. This is such a fun place to go and people of all ages will love it.

Berger Foundation and the City of Indian Wells, The Living Desert will open the yuletide season with a festive light display, featuring more than 350,000 twinkling lights that illuminate the park after dark, turning the desert into a holiday winter wonderland. Special visits from Santa Claus, live music, wood-burning fireplaces, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, s'mores and more!

What a great way to get into the holiday spirit and support our local youth as well.
Friday, Dec 4th starting at 5pm is an event to get you in the holiday mood. Come down to Old Town La Quinta, and listen to the Christmas Carolers and watch the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6. All the shops will be open and have their store fronts decorated in the holiday spirit. we will be having an Open House so please stop " The Lori Bowers Group for some cookies and Cider and to say hello.
Old Town is so beautiful, this is sure to be a great night.
If you love homemade tamales mark your calendar for Dec 5 & 6th. A parade at 10 am on Dec 5th with marching bands, floats and the cheer of people kick starts this fun event. With over 70 tamale vendors, there is sure to be a tamale for every ones taste. Sweet, hot & spicy or just original style, they all are homemade and ready to eat.
Free admission and parking , so come on out and support our community and have some fun!
