That's right, just when we need it most new jobs are coming to Charlotte, North Carolina. There are several signs of good news for the Carolinas in general and for Charlotte specifically.

The Carolinas will see two major companies invest in large manufacturing facilities in the Carolinas over the next years. These are Apple Computers and Boeing. Those are big names and very formidable companies. As well, there are several other companies investing in the Charlotte area and bringing jobs with them. The most recent company to make such an announcement is Liberty National Insurance.

On July 15th Liberty National Insurance will be holding a job fair to hiring 300 workers to staff the three new offices that they have recently opened in the Charlotte area. To learn more about this simply click to read the Liberty National Insurance job openings story.

The point is... Need a job? Come to Charlotte, North Carolina! After all... plenty of large companies are doing just that and they need to hire employees!

Donald Trump believes that buying commercial real estate in Charlotte, North Carolina is a good investment. It's nice to see that others are finally starting to see what we who live in Charlotte have known for quite a while. You can read the Charlotte Observer story about why Donald Trump is considering buying Charlotte real estate rather than building new buildings.

I have been preaching to people about all the money that is going to be made in real estate over the next five years. I'm not talking about making money as a Realtor... I'm talking about investing in existing real estate.

WAIT... Don't stop reading now!

I know, I know, you are thinking, I don't have any money to invest in real estate now... and I'm NOT going to take money out of my IRA or the stock market to start investing in real estate... heck, I can't even sell my own home to buy what I really want to live in... much less invest in real estate!

That's the golden phrase, "I can't even sell my own home to buy what I really want to live in." While there are plenty of really good opportunities to invest in real estate today the best one for almost everyone is to upgrade the home they are now living in!

Think of it this way, there is a very high chance that your home is going to appreciate from today's value over the next five years. Doesn't it make sense to maximize that appreciation by maximizing how much you have invested in it? If you have a $200,000 home now and it appreciates by 10% in the next five years it would be worth $220,000. If you sold that house today and bought a $250,000 house that appreciated 10% you would own a $275,000 house in five years.

Wouldn't you be kicking yourself if the real estate values increase by more than 10%... say by 20%. In that case your home would be worth $300,000. In that case you would have passed up a $50,000 increase and a nicer home than you currently live in!
