Finally the day has arrived when our own Costco opens, here in Covington. I had to drive by it every day on my way dropping off my kids at school, so you can imagine the anticipation that built up months prior to this day. No longer do I have to go all the way to Federal Way or Tukwila(I live in the middle of Kent and Covington) shopping at Costco. So as the rest of the residents from Maple Valley, Black Diamond and all the small towns in between.
I look at this day as another indication that Covington is truly an established community, with its newly revamped shopping district that includes stores like Office Depot, PetSmart, Kohls, just to name a few.
Now all that is left to do is to go and shop at the brand new COSTCO!
I am sure I'm not the only one who's noticing a bit of a turn of events in the news lately. "Seattle Real Estate Rated No. 1".. in bold print on the front page of the Seattle PI(Oct. 21, 2008). And two days later, another positive headline: "Area foreclosure filings decrease"...(Seattle PI. Oct. 23 2008).
So who knows more good news will follow, because we all knew we need every bit of help from the press and media. For prospective sellers/buyers out there who are sitting on the sidelines, who are accostomed to news of a crashing economy and terrible real estate market, these recent favorable news should help clear up their confusions as to what is really going on in the housing market.
It's about time we see headlines that say good things about the house market, like "Buyers and Sellers, Listen to your Realtor".....
