Way back in February, I did a post about a passenger in
Vancouver International airport who was killed by the R.C.M.P.
There wasn't much developed at the time, but preliminary reports pointed
to a cover-up and it stunk to high heaven.
The original post is linked below.

The inquiry, which has been going on for months now at a cost
of millions, has revealed that the R.C.M.P. have lied through their collective
teeth all along. And we're not talking about low-level police here. I'm talking the brass!
Everybody, it seems, from management down was involved in hiding documents,
covering facts, fabricating stories and all "getting on the same page" with the story.
There is going to be some serious reform within the R.C.M.P. as to how they
deal with the public and how they are investigated. At one time,
there used to be a red serge line that was impenatrable.
No more! People are demanding accountability.

Real Estate in Canada is still a bargain,
except in Vancouver. The west coast is in
a red-hot market and is the most expensive.
The bench mark used was a typical 2,200 SF,
single family home with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.
Here's how it breaks down across the country.
Charlottetown, P.E.I.-$158,667
Moncton, N.B.-$276,175
Halifax, N.S.-$277,302
St. John's, NFLD-$348,750
Sashatoon, Sask-$381,975
Winnipeg, Man-$390,368
Edmonton, Al-$432,250
Montreal, Que-$469,250
Toronto, Ont-$824,347
And the winner is!
Vancouver, BC-$1,260,000!!!
Bring lots of money.
Compared to La Jolla, Cal, this is a bargain.
Average price in La Jolla is $2,284,000
Best buy is Grayling, Michigan, where
the same home is a modest $74,397.
In any market though,
there's a buyer for everything.

WAKY NEWS is a weekly feature from THE BLOGGING GUY.

The normally staid Brits are at it again,
coming off as being all reserved and stuffy,
and then coming up with the "sex calculator".
(The purpose of this exercise was to bring awareness
to the British public about STD's and exposure to same).
A British pharmacy chain has launched an "on-line"
calculator to work out how many partners you have had-
directly or indirectly. The "Sex Degrees of Separation" calculator adds
up the numbers based on your number of partners, your partners
previous partners and so on , for six generations of partners.
Turns out, those normally reticent Anglos have slept with
2.8 million people on average, albeit, indirectly.

Don't forget to post your results,
this may turn into a contest, with fabulous prizes.
This is a true story from THE BLOGGING GUY.

Blogging to me comes easy.
(At last count, I just passed 400+ posts)
I see a story everywhere and I carry
my trusty notebook around with me so when
an idea presents itself, I can make a quick scribble.

While I'm driving, working and doing the mundane,
I'm formulating the post and in my mind, I'm picking
the clip art I'll need for that particular post.
Then it's just a matter of putting fingers
to keyboard, downloading the pictures
and I'm done. (Usually 5 minutes).
Some of the more serious posts
obviously take more time.

Since starting this journey, (seven months ago),
I have developed my own style which people tell me
is easy on the eyes. (Double spacing, interspersed with graphics).
I avoid the "wall of words". Most people don't like that.
I lean towards satire and humour,
but occasioanlly I do get serious if the
situation warrants it. I leave nothing off the table.

I've delevoped an "alter ego" called, THE BLOGGING GUY.
It's a weekly feature that reports on strange and WAKY NEWS.
Readers seem to like this guy, so I'll continue the feature.
When I first started out, I thought, what the hell, I'll never reached the lofty heights
of some of the other bloggers. Turned out-not true. Most people are not
consistant in their blogging. I WAS #1158 in British Columbia when I started out.
I am number THREE now. It has to do with consistancy; every day, posting and
responding to other's blogs; making it a routine.
It turns into a game; the guy ahead of me sees I'm closing in,
so, he picks up the place; but I pass him, then, it's the next target.
I'm not done until I'm number one.
Blogging for me is the sharing of information, the competiveness, meeting a whole
lot of new friends, learning a lot of new information and tuning
my wordsmithing.

Content for blogging is everywhere...
...news stories, clients, doing business and interaction
with people on the street. Carry your camera-you never know
where the next great picture is going to surface.

HAPPY BLOGGING!
Many thanks to Liz Moras for
introducing me to the world of blogging.
Michael J. Fox, Canadian actor and all around decent guy, now
has a foundation with charitable status in Canada. Michael was diagnosed with
Parkinson's disease at 30 and he has the money to form his own research foundation.
The team has the mandate to share results and tools quickly, encourages them to take
risks and gets money quickly into the hands of researchers who come up with
new ideas. Michael insists this isn't about finding a cure for him, although,
that would be nice and welcome. I have three daughters, he said,
and I'd like to dance at their weddings.
For those of you you that can't quite place this guy, think...
"Back To The Future" movies.
The Rush Limbaugh thing...
I won't even get into.
